probably a, let’s say, female cat that was exposed to a certain amount of androgen during brain development as a fetus, which would lead to masculine behavior, i guess
No, gender is actually not a social construct, there are studies and researches on the brain and hormone receptors of transgender people that show gender identity has biological components, gender roles are a social construct, but not gender, it is interlinked with sex and sometimes there’s a mismatch
Quick edit to say that, while not a trans cat, there was a cat in the UK who was found to be entirely sexless. Like, they had no primary or secondary sex organs at all. It’s an interesting read and also a good article to show to any transphobes who claim there is only two genders/sexes and that it’s “basic biology”
I’m all for trans rights. But claiming a genetic maladaptation as there being more than two genders is a wild take.
This person was born without genitalia! They are trans! See how crazy this sounds?
Did you miss the part where I said the cat in the article I linked was not trans?
Rowanclaw is a character from the Warrior Cats series who started off being written as a female and then later was referred to as a male cat because the authors forgot what gender he was supposed to be. Therefore it’s kind of a fandom headcanon that he’s trans.
I did not put the label of trans on the IRL cat, nor would I force that label onto IRL intersex people.
