Casual wine tasting for the clueless

I will be visiting Osoyoos at the end of September and I'd like to do a wine tasting or two. I don't know much about wine other than I prefer whites and rosés, and I would like somewhere with a more casual atmosphere as I'm going solo. Something akin to getting a flight of beers where I can get a few tasters and go off and taste on my own, rather than being talked through each one by a wine expert. Any suggestions?

This is a great suggestion for someone new to wine. A dozen or so wineries, plus a couple distilleries and food all in one place. North end of Oliver, so a bit away from Osoyoos.

In Osoyoos I like Over the Fence right near the border for a casual time, Lakeside is nice and on the water and Rust for a gorgeous view.

Lakeside makes a solid rose and has a gorgeous tasting room.

Nk'mip makes some decent whites. Highly recommend having lunch on the patio at the winery.

Both wineries are close to each other.

Red rooster does a tasting paired with different taste bites and does a great hi b explaining how they impact one another.

Lots of choices, where ever you go explain your experience to them, tell them your preference. The vast majority of the staff always want to help. Enjoy 🍷🍷🍷and thanks for visiting.
