Text Just bought my 1st onewheel...
OMG I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS THING, I HAVENT EVEN HAD IT FOR MORE THAN A DAY AND I ALREADY WANNA RIDE IT EVERYWHERE . I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
On a real note tho I do really love this thing. I bought the pint x cause I needed something reliable and with good range but I wasn't tryna haul around the beast of a board that the gt seems to be. I also bought some of the craft&ride back 2 the future grip tapes and pink side rails cause I'm a nerd who loves bttf. Anyways just thought I'd share my day 1 experience with my onewheel!
Who was gonna tell me how addicting this thing is?

Same! Got a used pint, and for how I use it (running the dogs, peaceful night rides), it works just fine, BUT I can also see myself going with either a GT (probably overkill) or an XR (likely just right) in the far future.
I was hooked the moment I got on it. Before this, did you ride any other boards? Skateboard? Snowboard? Longboard? I was a snowboarder long ago, nothing too aggressive, and the carving at 11mph puts me right back on the slopes.

So I've actually been wanting to snowboard for a long time but I've never got the chance so far. However I've surfed, and rode ripstiks for the majority of my boarding life so far lmao. A large reason for me getting this was actually for commuting to school/work until I get my license (and even after cause gas is 💸💸💸).

I have about 600mi on my Pint X and it’s really awesome. Trust me on this- get the FM front sensor pad with the extra lip, and a rear Kush Hi pad from Float Life… they give you much more control and less foot fatigue.
But yea that little thing is awesome, you can even ride some mild off road trails in it!

Wait you got stuff from craft and ride? I thought they didn’t exist anymore?

Ebay is a wonderful place.😂
When I tell you I saw a video online of a back to the future onewheel made by a company craft&ride followed by the discovery of them not existing I was devastated. But someone on ebay graciously had one for the pint and sold it to me.

I don't live in an area where commuting is safe at all, so far I've been exploring the connected neighborhoods to see where all I could go. If they ever decide to put a shoulder on this road or even offer sidewalks, I'll be all over the place. A man can dream...

Yeah, that sucks. I'm in the norcal area, so it ain't TOO bad for commuting, but I do anticipate running into the occasional street with no shoulder or sidewalk. Gotta love the American car dependent cities.

Awesome! Love the pint x. I have some more powerful boards now but I find myself riding my pint x a lot still.

Riding daily even after five years gnarly falls and over 25k miles ridden
. Currently waiting on my board to charge up and I’m out🤙🏼 Stay safe out there and enjoy the ride

Welcome! You’ll only fall more in love with your board, and more out of love with fm as the days go by.

So I'm guessing the community isnt fond of fm? Out of curiosity what's the reason? Is it the borderline greedy business practices cause I was kinda shocked to find that something as small as a charger port plug was sold separately.

Practice on the grass if you can

This is such terrible beginner advice. Riding on grass is so much harder than riding on pavement.

Welcome to the club! I started with a PintX & then upgraded to an ADV2. I absolutely LOVE the ADV2, but the PintX still gets a lot of use with the kids or anyone else I teach to ride. It’s a great starter board.
Welcome to the club! Float on 🤙

Agreed, just make sure you have hard bones!
