Of course it counts. Pasta is but the medium of an art, not the form nor the result. Mac n' cheese is pasta. Your kindergarten macaroni art is pasta. If it contains pasta, then it belongs here.

That looks just about perfect. Save some for night two… the second cooking will solidify the base. Some folk say it’s better after a second cooking.

2lb and 8oz of cheese per 1lb of pasta, plus evaporated milk and heavy cream, and butter of course
