Giveaway Seed giveaways starting on Discord.gg/peppers - come join us, and try your luck!
A Discord friend very generously sent me a box of superhot peppers. To pay it forward, I harvested the seeds and smoked the pods. I then turned the smoked pods into pepper powder. I am going to be hosting multiple giveaways until all of these seeds are gone, and will include powder as supply lasts as well. Each giveaway will go on for about 3 days or so in the interest of helping fill in your grow lists for 2025.
In order to participate:
- Log on to Discord ( http://discord.gg/peppers or http://pepperlovers.net/discord )
- Go to the #🎉・giveaways channel
- Hit the 🎉icon under the active giveaways to have your entry recorded
- Once you click, the counter below the icon should go up. If you click it again, it should go down.
- While you're on Discord, stop by #🌶・general and say hello 👋
- The giveaway will go for 3 days and the winners will automatically be picked by a bot
- If you are a chosen winner, message the giveaway host on Discord with your address using https://privnote.com - Create note with your address in it, copy link, send link to me or the giveaway host. Link can only be used once; this is for your own privacy.
- We won't chase anyone down, so if you win - make sure you message the giveaway host. If we don't hear from you within 48h, new winners will be picked by the bot. If replacement winners don't contact the giveaway host within 24h, new winners will be picked again until someone claims the prize.
- If you have won before, no big deal - you're eligible
- International giveaway - anyone can win. Make sure you're able to receive snail mail from the US though, otherwise it may never make it. Pepper powder may not be included if winner(s) are international.

Food and Sauces Smoked Jalapeños for the first time
I had a bunch of red Jalapeños and decided to try smoking them on a grill with lid. This is the result. Does anyone have experience how they should look after 3 hours of smoking? Does this look about right?

Sugar Rush Peach almost ready?
Hiya friends,
First time growing the sugar rush peach. All peppers have the colour like the one on the right. The colour on the one on the left is new. Would that be the colour whentl they're ripe?
Cheers!

Anything I Can do to save it ?
Hi everyone,
my Carolina Reaper has been thriving until one day, after a storm, the leaves started to wilt. During the storm it was under a roof. When I watered the plant a few days after I had the feeling that it’s not absorbing anything. The soil is still moist even after not watering for multiple days.
Do you guys have any idea how to save the plant and the green chillies ? There are still so many left on it …
Thanks in advance

Food and Sauces Work friend provided her garden peppers, mostly green, so I made a batch of fresh garden veggie hot sauce. Tastes like Summer.
Has notes of green pepper, green beans, and cucumber, with Cuban oregano, rosemary, and scallions. One of the mildest hot sauces I’ve ever made. Delicious enough to be a standalone soup. I might drink one of these like a toddler drinks and applesauce pouch. 😂

Discussion Reaper getting close
This guy is almost ready to burn my face off. Im thinking 3 to 4 days. Im a 1st year grower so my noob question is this...Am I right in my thinking that it'll be ready to harvest in 3 to 4 days? Also should I leave it for a few days after fully ripe?

Pods and Flowers Today’s harvest
A variety of stuff including this weird mutant that I lost 😞. I found it in the ground beneath the plant.

Plant Help Do you think these are Poblano? Maybe Trident Poblano?
Plant is at least 6 feet tall. The peppers are about 3 inches long & 1-2 inches wide at the biggest (so far). Dark green color right now. I included pics of the leaves to help identify. Any help is appreciated. Growing summer northern illinois

Homemade Chili powder
Does anyone make their own chili powder. I’m partial to Spice Island brand and would like a copycat version.
Please share your recipes? Thanks

Just bought a couple of plants
I just bought a couple of ornamental pepper plants at Lowe's. I didnt realize that they said NOT FOR HUMAN OR ANIMAL CONSUMPTION on the back of the label.
Yeah, I saw the plants, got excited and didn't read the fine print. It's certainly not the first time, and probably not the last. HAHA!
I'm just curious if I am still good to eat them. I've read that they can perhaps be hotter, but I'm not particularly worried about that. Should I have any other concerns?
Thanks!

Is there a patent on mattepeno seeds.
In short can I commercially sell the mattepeno seeds I harvested from my mattepeno plant I grew isolated from my other peppers to make sure there is no cross breeding

Help identify
Hey folks!
Can somebody try to identify these please? I grew them from seeds I bought online, but I bought Jalapeño brown, and these are obviously not jalapeño and are way hotter. They are approx. 7cms (3in) and bright red colored.
PS: Al told me that they are Red Chilli (100k-350k SHU), but I don't believe Al that much..
Any help appreciated.

I grew these in my garden and have no idea what they are, one of them turned orange. Extremely spicy
