My cayenne plant did fine.

The plant itself didn’t have great structure…kind of thin and whippy. But it produced nicely.

‘Twin’ Pepper

Just found this rather exciting split pepper growing on what is an otherwise standard plant. Am I right in thinking it’s not a true twin because it only has a single pistil?

Sugar Rush Peach almost ready?

Upvotes

Hiya friends,

First time growing the sugar rush peach. All peppers have the colour like the one on the right. The colour on the one on the left is new. Would that be the colour whentl they're ripe?

Cheers!

Bought sport peppers but these seem much thinner? Any idea if these are just behind on maturing or an entirely different variety? Appreciate the help!

Continue to ripen off vine?

My one and only Orange bell is finally starting to get its color but a crack is forming. Should I harvest and let it ripen off vine or keep it on vine? Just a little worried about bugs getting in.

My brother-in-law gave me these peppers. I believe the yellow ones are scotch bonnets (not positive) but I have no idea about the purple ones. He described the heat level of the purple peppers as ‘atomic’ Any help would be appreciated!

Can anyone identify this pepper?

My wife’s grandma grew this and they are extremely flavorful and spicy. She does not know what they are. Much smaller than a jalapeño or Serrano.

What on earth did I plant here?

I saved the seeds almost 3 years ago and decided to plant them again. However, 25 y/o me obviously couldn't be bothered to label the seed baggie in any way.

At first I thought they may be jalapeños because everyone knows jalapeños so no need to label them.

Then I thought it might be Cayenne/Birdseye, I vaguely remember growing those.

From my experience, the pod on the plant does not look like either of those peppers tho.

The plant seems to be c.anuum but I honestly have no idea what this could be 😅

i harvested jalapeno and fresno peppers today. i want to make a batch of "hots" style hoagie spread to water bath can. my issue is that the Internet recipies mostly include sugar. Does anyone have a tested recipe without sugar to share?

Potato beetles

Has anyone dealt with potato beetles on their pepper plants? This is a first for me in years of growing. I have 27 plants in 4 raised gardens. I've only seen a few so far & I'm planning to buy some ladybugs to take care of them. I don't want to use pesticides. Any successful experiences are welcome. Thank you.

Need some advice

Trying my hand at growing peppers this year. Going the bucket route since I am only doing a few to see if I could make it work. Anyone know what is going on with this pepper in the white bucket? Both have been treated the same but one has been slowly dying off for a few weeks. Minor sun scale, feels inevitable in zone 9A. I keep 50% shade cloth over them. Is this just how pepper growing goes sometimes or did I miss something here? Also, I have a small habanero I planted late and wanted to ask if it is large enough to transplant from the 1 qt. into a 5 gal. bucket yet or should I let it grow a bit more?

Plants conservation

Hello everybody, I'm probably a bit in advance but I have a few peppers plant that I want to keep alive for next summer (Habanero, ghost and chili). I'm from Quebec so the winter is coming and it gets pretty cold here. Is the best option for me is to keep them inside during the winter and pray that they will be fine in the summer? It's my first year harvesting peppers if any of you have tips or sauce recipe to share I'm all ears🌶

We did it! Peppers grown from seeds saved from a cross that started last year! We replicated the thickness of the pepper and hab level heat with the color and flavor of the lemon drop cross parent!

Now we need the to get them growing a little larger 😍

Didn’t expect this cherry pepper plant to get so big! She’s growing everyday, and has a ton of flowers and peppers on now.

Sugar rush peach peppers

This is my first year growing sugar rush peach peppers. I only have 3 peppers looking ripe so far, but plenty more green ones. Most of the recipes I have found are using larger quantities of peppers. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or any recipes for using just a few of these peppers. I'm excited to use some right away and don't want the first few getting soft waiting for the rest be ready.

Too late to transplant?

I got a few plants from grocery outlet 3 weeks ago. I got a Serrano pepper plant and did not expect it to flower so soon. Now I have a few flowers and I’m not sure how to properly care for it!

I’ve been reading how it should have been transplanted before flowering and the plants that flower this soon won’t produce good results later on.

Should I just stake it and transplant when the harvest is over?

Any and all help/advice is appreciated, including helpful links!
