Science / Laws Its really nice having a community here and a place to vent but its time we took action before its too late.

There are quite a few psycho redditors who cannot handle differing opinions who are also dog nutters (suprise suprise). They want this sub gone and it's a possibility it may happen one day. With that being said id love if we could band together and take some actions towards changing things regarding dogs in grocery stores and restaurants, like petitioning, contacting local govs, calling health departments, putting stores and resturants on blast on local social media pages when dogs do something gross in them. I am testing the waters seeing whats already being done or what you guys think. I am ready to join up or start my own campaign for the sanity and health of those of us who havent been infected with nutteritous

I think that any serious attempt is going to have to happen outside of this sub. I think that organizational efforts here are going to be suppressed because it could lead to this sub being canceled; that is, it could be the reason it finally gets canceled.

The thing is... The people you're talking about.. dog nutters, law enforcement, law makers, and whoever else... don't genuinely care.

Brainstorm different solutions bc what you're suggesting would compromise a multi billíon dollar industry. And everyone's suit pockets are líned.

I don't know if it will compromise a billion dollar industry. People were saying the same about smoking. They even said all the pubs and restaurants will go bankrupt if they ban smoking and owners were marching in the streets. But it turned out, a lot of people hated the smoke and liked going to restaurants and pubs again and they didn't go bankrupt. We are still the majority, the people without dogs. So we can absolutely do something.

Funny that You brought up the comparison to smoking… I always said pets are the next “smoking ban”. We’re just in the current phase of it being out of control, now, but I don’t see it being that way, forever.

Can get some testimonies of people like you and i who've been attacked by dogs, especially some that happen in walmart or a business, Push them to take legal acton against walmart or said grocery chain or restaurant. I assure you things will change quick if its organized.

Im also not trying to completely dismantle the nutter industry. I like other sane people just simply dont want them in places where food is bought or prepared. Anywhere else thats private property that allows them should be held liable for any attacks that happen on their property but otherwise have the right to make that choice

im willing to take one for the team, ill follow around karen and her mutt in walmart till it takes a piss so i can do a tom and jerry slip right on my back and call morgan and morgan before the ambulance arrives.

I have thought about looking into dog allergy shots to make sure the employee insurance will pay for it. I feel like even part timers should get their shots paid for. If no I should launch a discrimination complaint. Cuz I think allergies are similar to a disability .

Definitely, Idk your personal experience with working at walmart but ive heard nothing but bad things about it from people i know who did. Heard their insurance isnt half bad though so i think you should have no issues. Heck at my walmart pharmacy they give vaccines, i feel like they should be 100% free for employees.

Imagine getting mad at people for not wanting their allergies to go apeshit all the time or pay for the privilege of cleaning up animal shit all day.

The entitlement of these people is absurd! Ive said it numerous times and i stand by it. This dog nutter society is a by product of mass narcissism. The people who use dogs for unlimited attention are typically high in narcissism which comes with the other traits you always see in nutters. Entitlement, Disregard for others, No empathy, When fido croaks they get another within a month or get a puppy when their current one is old and allow the dying one to be jumped on and nibbled on its death bed.

Im so happy i found this community, Ive always been off put by dog nutter type people even before i really realized how i felt about it all.

Exactly. Maybe don't imprison animals for your amusement. "But he loves me!" Really? Did he get a choice in that or did you buy him like livestock?

Honestly some people are obsessive compulsive and their compulsion enables them to carry Fido wherever they please because of that underlying compulsion (mental illness). Probably best solution is to determine the need is genuine after signed off by a GP AND a psychiatrist. Like if you’re disabled blind, mobility, or both type situation, then sure. But if you’re an able body adult who’s just not able to live alone and are on top of that entitled and compulsive, then no. You’re not allowed to have a pet in those circumstances because psychological abuse goes both ways. Animal abuse is not cool. Most of those animals are very neurotic and have ptsd, especially after their crazies dump them in the streets after they find their next compulsion.

This colleague of mine literally drugs his dog daily with heavy meds because she’ll start barking, snapping randomly and fearing for her life uncontrollably. Daily. Heavy meds. Is this cruelty? Absolutely.

I rant but yeah, I’m sick of it. They’re all around food and restaurants. I don’t like this at all.

I don't think it is good for people to treat these dogs like their children and not be able to go anyplace without them. Just today two ladies had these dogs basically using the shopping cart as a play pen...So they were struggling with the cart of groceries + the cart of two dogs jumping around in a busy store. It just seems nuts to me.

I made a post here the other day and got DM’s telling me I have no soul haha They also reported me to Reddit mental health bot. Is that a fancy way of telling me to off myself? lol Absolute NUTTERS 🥴🙃

I've been on this sub for awhile now and never heard of any post even close to advocating harm to any animal. I'm petfree and love animals. These nutters should find a place for therapy and figure out the fe-fes...err feelings

u/GamerChillPill Extra Responsibility? No thanks. 2d ago

I think the only time animals should be in a food place is if they're on the menu. I got no problem with us normalizing eating dogs and cats and horses and everything else.

At the very least I would like to keep dogs out of stores but I see so many people stop the dog owners and basically encourage them to the point I don't see it happening at all.

I like that you are not too pessimistic though like me.
