Ethics of Pet Ownership Some unpopular opinions

Taylor's opinion isn't wrong per se. I saw someone say the following on this sub and they're so right... "Pets are a luxury item but the lowest tier so you have people who have no business owning a pet owning them so they feel someway." But, most people live paycheck to paycheck... So you really do need the $10k people being the only owners because of you can set that aside without a care in the world, you can pay to have the things professionalluly trained.

Caitlin probably shouldn't ever own an animal because she obviously can't afford one and it will never be properly trained or taken care of. People like her are the problem imo.

Ethics of Pet Ownership Friends dog bit her child

My friend messaged me this morning that their pitbull mix dog bit her 11 month old baby and they are going to have to get rid of it. It was really hard for me to stay supportive. She had to go to the hospital with the kid. Am I a horrible person for a part of me feeling like this was their own fault (the parents)? I will NEVER understand people who knowingly buy these killer breed dogs into their families with small kids. I mean, I don’t understand dog people in general but like, out of all the breeds in the world, why get the one that is specifically made for fighting? They have two very young kids. You read about these dogs attacking kids constantly on the news, I feel like you’re asking for something to happen if you still decide to buy one. I’m honestly baffled why pitbulls are so popular with parents, some lunatics even call them nanny dogs. What is the psychology behind that? I’m curious.
