Politics Happening Now: Downtown Phoenix Fox News Protest

Post image

This morning saw another strong protest in downtown Phoenix in front of the Fox 10 News station and Phoenix PD HQ. (7th Ave and Washington).

Protesters urged everyone to resist the lies and propaganda the Murdoch family pushes through Fox News and its affiliates.

Please remember to stay polite in this post, trolling or being rude to others on this site is not welcome. If you want to debate the effectiveness of protests or the topic of the protests, I highly recommend posting on /r/azpolitics sub.

PS: everyone knows Fox10 is not Fox News, but their parent company is the same.

Isn't fox 10 local news different from fox news?

It became a Fox affiliate in 1994, then the company that owned the station was bought by Fox in 1996. They’re Fox through and through

Fox has affiliates throughout the country. We have a local Fox News affiliate here in Vegas and they are a very good news station. They do a lot of local news and support local causes. The San Francisco Bay Area has a Fox affiliate in KTVU where the 10 O’clock News is actually one of the best news stations around. They aren’t MAGA at all.

The Fox affiliate in Vegas is owned by Gray Media, the company that owns 3TV and CBS5 in Phoenix.

The Fox affiliate in Phoenix is owned and operated by Fox.

Does that mean that it looks and sounds like Fox News?

Look? Very much, yes.

Sound? Sometimes.

FOX 10 local news shares most of the same viewpoints as Fox News, and is the one FOX owned-and-operated station which is most upfront about it. Its news director has been there for nearly 30 years.

There are some local fox stations that have good local news. Fox 10 is not one of them.

It seriously makes me wonder if the people who work at Reddit even use the app.
