So you're saying I can't actually live there?

Sorta. It wasn't built for decoration, it was built to have something to build. The construction was a form of experimental "therapy" done by mental patients in the 1800's at a mental hospital called the Brattleboro Retreat.
It happens to be the same old-timey asylum that the movie Sucker Punch is based on. They rename it the "Lennox House" in the movie, presumably to avoid legal entanglement, as the Brattleboro Retreat is still open.

I went through the mental institution this is at; Brattleboro retreat. They let the well behaved mostly stable patients come on a group hike up the mountain to visit this tower. I remember I was very out of shape at that point in my life, but we made it up to the top and I have stood right at the bottom of this tower, panting from trying not to trigger an asthma attack and sweating buckets. It was still really cool. They used mental patients’ labor back in the 1800s to erect the structure.

Flowers gleam and glow. Make your power shine. Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine. What once was mine.

I think so. One of the podcasts that I listen to did an episode on it.

Pretty sure it was Three Blind Archers, but yeah, those Anubis looking creatures was the first thing I saw when I looked at this picture.

Vermont: where they build stuff just to let it go to ruins because it's more picturesque that way.

Looks like the answer has been found but my initial reaction was that it was a shot tower

Is this the tower in Winterfell where Jamie Lannister pushed Bran Stark and stirred of the Game of Thrones?

At first I thought it was a shot tower but now my vote would be for Retreat Tower.
