Marsha P Johnson. Today would have been her 80th birthday.

I did a lot of reading this past Pride on Stonewall and what the timeline was like.
Marsha was there, but she didn't get there until after the riot had started. She didn't "throw the first brick" as is often told. In an interview with her, she confirms she arrived later. Other interviews about the timeframe have no one being able to solidify who exactly first threw the first item at the cops. There are a few thoughts, but no one has said "Yes, I saw X definitively throwing the first rock".

Your reminder that Stonewall was a riot and that the T is critical to the continued fight for LGBT rights.

She was a trans woman. If you have a problem with that, consider minding your own goddamn business.

You made it other people's business though, the entire point is you want other people to recognize you as the opposite sex that you actually are.

Dont be ignorant. The entire point is other people can look how they want without society shitting on them. It could be performative, as you suggest, or it could be someone who just wants to feel pretty. Or something else all together.

I imagine you would also like people to recognize the gender* that you choose to present as. It's kind of a baseline thing in polite society, to refer to someone as they would like to be referred to. Or do you think it's heresy to call Jonathan "John"?
Edit: a word

gender
There's a difference. Not that a brain as simple as yours would have the capacity to understand that kinda nuance.

Do you have any original thoughts?

Only the ones FOX News tells him to have.

I don't pay any attention to the news. My thoughts are my own.

And not every thought needs to be voiced there, sparky. Especially when they’re just plain wrong.

The p is for “pay it no mind.”
Shout out to Sylvia Rivera as well.
