nothing will top RDR 2 horses when entering a cold area you can see the balls of the horse shrink

I thought this was hyperbole, I was incorrect.

Your algorithm will be forever changed

May the algorithm be ever in your favor!

It’s kinda like that joke about the time traveler.

A time traveler goes back 150 years with his smart phone. He shows it off to the people and they ask what it is and what he does with it.

I hold all the knowledge of human kind in my hands. And use it to look at cat videos watch videos of a video game horses balls shrink in the cold weather.

“Good God man, what on Earth is a ‘video game’?”

1

u/Ferocious-Fart Apr 01 '25

(Shows them video)

u/Obsidian_Fury39 Apr 01 '25

Dies of IDK too information I guess

1

u/I-Kneel-Before-None Mar 31 '25

Would prefer an irl horse's balls?

1

u/JustW4nnaHaveFun Mar 31 '25

Why would you think people lie about this?

1

u/AdImpressive4486 Apr 01 '25

Well... let's never forget that on Conan Exiles they had a person in charge of physics of the penis against the wind. So I guess shrinking horse balls shouldn't be all that surprising.

43

u/XMAN2YMAN Mar 31 '25

You can slap your horse in RDR2???

83

u/Smart-Dream6500 Mar 31 '25

I've definitely Conan punched my Arabian before, which was retaliated by a swift horse kick to the face

7

u/afsdjkll Mar 31 '25

I don't remember what it is bc it's been a minute since I played but there's a punch button and a maybe greet button that I was getting mixed up on? I've definitely punched a horse before. I think I even kicked a random dog in valentine :( The sheriff came and got me for that. I did my time. I still feel bad.

10

u/FreshestCremeFraiche Mar 31 '25

I did this lol. My wife likes horses and when I got RDR2 I was like hey honey check out these cool super detailed horses. Then I tried to greet mine and sucker punched it straight in the jaw lmao

2

u/CHICKENPUSSY Apr 01 '25

I just started playing and my friends were watching me stream to see the hype. I'm about an hour in when they join and start asking about the horse. I jump off telling them how cool it is. Then straight cold cocked him. Horse kicked me and killed me. We laughed for a half hour and I had to start all over again. Sadly, not the last time I made that mistake

7

u/Smart-Dream6500 Mar 31 '25

Oh no, I intended to punch my (red) Arabian. That horse is a dick. We have an understanding though.

4

u/afsdjkll Mar 31 '25

They're little scaredy ass horses. I'm team missouri fox trotter.

2

u/I-Kneel-Before-None Mar 31 '25

Agreed. Arabians are fast, but the Missouri is plenty fast enough and much more hardy.

2

u/Smart-Dream6500 Mar 31 '25

I always like to keep the Tennessee Walker you get at the start of the game. He's nothing special, but he's a good boy.

1

u/NinthYokai Apr 01 '25

Actually if there are multiple horses in a row and one kicks you into the other one… well it’s a real bad way to go.

0

u/CT0292 Mar 31 '25

When you get thrown off because there's an alligator a mile away sleeping in the mud.

You'll want to give that horse a smack.

7

u/Its_D_youtube Mar 31 '25

I just 100% red dead 1 and damn the graphics man 😅 its like night and day

5

u/Temporary-Book8635 Apr 01 '25

I remember this was actually a major talking point ahead of the games release lol. It was used to emphasise how ridiculously needlessly detailed the game was

2

u/JustW4nnaHaveFun Mar 31 '25

Why would you think people lie about this?

1

u/Unable-Cellist-4277 [Shower With Your Dad Simulator 2015] Apr 01 '25

/shrug

Could be one of those urban legends like there being a cow level in the first Diablo or that there is a Sasquatch in GTA: San Andreas.

2

u/DevilApeEnji Apr 02 '25

I shamelessly clicked this linked so fast...I have no regrets.

1

u/Slurpees_and_Stuff Apr 01 '25

The punch at the end killed me ☠️

1

u/HereReluctantly Apr 03 '25

That video is so incredibly funny.

1

u/T_M0SS Mar 31 '25

*hyperballe

-2

u/ilikebeens2 Mar 31 '25

Hahaha this is legendary 😂

-3

u/Lord-Lobster PS5 Mar 31 '25

That ending! Needed the laugh 😆

76

u/Sad_Instruction1392 Mar 31 '25

6

u/Fallensaint26 Mar 31 '25

I laughed at this WAY harder than I probably should have 😅😂

I remember this detail being revealed before the game even came out. It probably has the most detail for a horse.

But I did love my horse and how it controlled in Ghost.

1

u/Pm-me-ur-happysauce Mar 31 '25

It definitely gets a lot of free press

28

u/xtermist Mar 31 '25

I didn’t know this and now my mind is blown. I remember the horse takes shit if you keep feeding him but this is brand new

9

u/HereticLaserHaggis Mar 31 '25

Yep. I actually cared about my horse in rdr2.

I don't even care about my car in real life.

6

u/haw35ome Mar 31 '25

It’s enough that they included his balls but to shrink them automatically in cold water is commendable & I hope that poor soul got a bonus for that

2

u/Separate-Maize9985 Apr 01 '25

I WAS IN THE POOL!

1

u/chatterwrack Mar 31 '25

It's even more than the little details. They absolutely nailed the mechanics in a way that is unrivaled.

1

u/Equivalent_Wave2809 Mar 31 '25

God the level of detail in that game still continues to blow my mind. I still find myself learning little details like this that I didn’t know about to this day

1

u/wolfhound27 Mar 31 '25

I’m replaying red dead and I’m constantly amazed that this was a PS4/One game

1

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '25

Best equine testicle physics in any game.

1

u/_Sleepwalker Mar 31 '25

I’ve never played RDR2, and this is literally the only thing I know about the game.

1

u/Sumo_Cerebro Mar 31 '25

Which horse did you have for your playthrough?

1

u/Doritos-Locos-Taco Mar 31 '25

I knew someone was gonna mention RDR horse balls.

1

u/SailsTacks Mar 31 '25

I’ve always appreciated RDR2’s incredible attention to subtle detail, but this is at a whole other level entirely.

1

u/GunnieGraves Apr 01 '25

Or when you’re having a heated confrontation with a feller on the trail and as you deliver a tough line your horse just starts shitting.

1

u/littlegreenfish Apr 01 '25

Nutsack Physics

1

u/Stormtroupe27 Apr 01 '25

Realistic nut AI is next level

1

u/Dallasl298 Apr 01 '25

My gf (who claims to have beaten rdr2) laughed in surprise when my horse took a dump while I was afk yesterday 🤔

1

u/higorito Apr 01 '25

Quando alguém falar q algum outro jogo tem um cavalo melhor q o rdr2 lembre-se das bolas do cavalo

1

u/NicestYouKnow Apr 01 '25

Plus they’re constantly dumping steaming massive loads

1

u/Shovels93 Apr 01 '25

I’m gonna give best horse to Red dead deer. If I don’t I think they’ll tackle me next time I go outside.

1

u/Longjumping_Pin_4215 Apr 03 '25

From this picture, shadows look better. Can see all the veins and shit

0

u/Dpgillam08 Mar 31 '25

Maybe I'm just overthinking, but RDR2 is the only time period where you would have multiple breeds, each with their own unique physiology. The others are earlier time periods, with limited gene pool and resources, trying to produce the "best" war horse.

Like everything else from the middle ages, the "best" care of their time is considered abuse by today's standards.

0

u/N7Widowmaker Mar 31 '25

Lmao. I just imagine some weirdo heavy breathing leaning in looking at horse nuts shrinking. "Oh... yeah... look at those bad boys... MA! Come over ere ya gotta see this heavy breathing"

0

u/MaintenanceInternal Apr 02 '25

Classic example of realism which was prioritised over making the game fun.

-7

u/Daetok_Lochannis Mar 31 '25

"Can you make the game's travel interesting and immersive?"

"Not at all, but we will spend an inordinate amount of resources on the texture and realism of your horse's testicles during extended unskippable travel sequences! Now press x to walk faster."

-6

u/BidenPardonedMe Mar 31 '25

I wonder why rockstar didn't spend the effort on making the gameplay fun instead of adding realistic horse balls

-1

u/nikolapc Mar 31 '25

In Asscreed when it's winter everyone's balls shrink. Btw irl no one rides a stallion except rodeo. Either a mare or a gelding(castrated male). Btw it's obvious, rdr 2 had great detail for its own gen but Shadows is now truly of this gen. I don't know what Kingdom come is doing and what breed is that.

-5

u/UnluckyFriedChicken Mar 31 '25

I debunked this on Tik Tok as fake.

The RDR2 horse ISN'T from the game, the mane is on the wrong side and the background isn't from the game. It looks like outside blackwater but there is no scenery in the background which is impossible as no matter the angle you always get some sort of scenery.

Also the horse is a low res picture compared to what is seen in RDR2, there is more shading and angles if you look at it in the game.
