Horses actually just straight up have goat eyes, they’re just often a dark enough color that it’s not super obvious. If it makes you feel any better I only found this out relatively recently myself

I live around horses and can confirm they have rectangular pupils. They are barely visible and it's funny to see people freak out here.

It's meant to be that way for that specific horse.

NPCs legit talk trash about how ugly your horse is if you don't buy a new one.

I've murdered so many NPCs that couldn't keep pebbles name out their fucking mouths. She's a beautiful horse and anyone who says otherwise is gonna end up dead.
