My beloved Kage.. Never felt more connected to a mount in a game

I would love to know why? I really tried to like GoT but just could not get into it. However, I am not into samurai so maybe that is why.

What made you attached to any of the characters? Let alone yhe horse.

I know this sounds mean but I am very curious. Just feels like I am missing ou ton loving the game, and maybe I did something wrong lol

I honestly fell in love with the world. The calm breeze over open fields, the rain, the sunsets. And that got me more into the story as well I think; one man against an army invading his beautiful home, so much has been taken from you (the main character) and still they are trying to take more as if it means nothing. It felt personal, and the close combat felt satisfying because of it.

About the horse, it’s one of the few friends you have left and it’s always there for you. After missions you’re petting him, or seen sleeping with him. I’m not going to spoil anything but some events got me VERY angry, one in particular about 2/3 of the way into the story

True! Appreciate the respons will try and re play it! I think I just was coming in jot trying to speed through the game. The world was very pretty though that was why enjoyed the game. It felt like playing a painting

When i first started playing, I couldn't get the feel of the combat and how real it felt, as in you won't get hit by a sword too many times before you are dead. I dialed back the difficulty for a while as I got a better feel for it and then went side questing a LOT to up my skills and equipment before diving into the main story. I haven't ever put 60+ hours into a game before this. RDR2 bored me to death but this one sucked me in.

"A painting you can play"

For me GoT is not about the combat it is about the journey and it almost feels a waste to use fast travel

If you didn't play the whole game through, there are major story points your horse is part of further into the game.

And beside there being obvious story lines that bring your character and the horse closer together, I like how Jin is always telling Kage he’s a good horse and occasionally promises him they will go on a long peaceful ride when the invasion is over.

To add onto what was already said, I enjoyed GoT for the combat and the world. The combat flowed nicely and made you feel like a samurai, while being in a picturesque world. I loved the characters and the story because I already had an interest in Samurais and stuff, so seeing a modern game that told stories about this was amazing. This was the opposite of Rdr2 for me. It was incredibly slow at the start and I didn’t like how the controls worked. It felt like a drag to play to be honest. Also I had absolutely no interest in cowboys, so that played a part as well. And since I already knew the massive spoiler of the game, I figured it wasn’t worth my time, and I stopped playing after 10 hours.

Thats so interesting cause I was the opposite. I love cowboys and stuff so I got engrossed in rdr2 lol. Cool to hear that people enjoyed GoT and the combat was really fun
