Fash/MAGA is driven by one, archetypal story:

We have been attacked by [inferior and undeserving group]. But we, as an unstoppable mob, will destroy them! And we shall savor every drop of their suffering.

It's lynch mob energy. It makes the weak feel strong. It makes the lonely feel like they have friends. It makes the complex world as simple as one brutal act after another. There is never a moment when there is not a fresh target for the MAGA lynch mob. The fake stories are queued up ahead of time.
