I come from a church background. When I was younger I was in a church group for "pornography addiction" and they recommended this software for accountability. I never did use it, though at the time I thought anything would be worth it to cure the porn addiction.

Two things I've now learned from this: first, the ends so not justify the means at all. This is a sick way to try to cure porn addiction, and there is little to no evidence it helps at all. Subjecting someone else to your porn is more harmful than you watching porn. By far.

Second, my "porn addiction", using quotation marks intentionally, which I thought was the most vile and spiritually depraved thing imaginable, that I sounded l agonized over and felt so helpless against... It all went away once I got my ADHD and Depression diagnosis and was properly medicated. Turns out my brain was just starving for dopamine. It wasn't a spiritual or moral failure at all. It was just imbalanced chemicals in my brain.

These methods like Covenant Eyes for dealing with porn completely miss the problem, and make some very weird power structures.

It’s the software that Josh Duggar and his wife used to keep him on the straight and narrow. Clearly worked wonders.

You don’t shut down the country’s business of apparently nonexistent files. This response is sending the message that they exist and that they are devastating. And the request to shut down probably came from Trump himself.

It’s more important than ever to get these files released.

u/sDios_13 Massachusetts Jul 22 '25

A lot of people don’t know this, but my uncle—brilliant man, genius, absolute genius—he was one of the best, maybe the best, at understanding things nobody else could understand, okay? Worked at MIT, very elite, very exclusive. You needed a brain the size of a watermelon to get in there, folks. And my uncle? He had TWO. Two brains. They said, ‘We’ve never seen someone do math like this. Just incredible stuff. The best. People were crying in the labs.’”

“And you know, when Einstein died—very smart guy, some people say not as smart as my uncle, I don’t know—they brought Einstein’s papers to my uncle. Not to Harvard, not to the Pentagon. To my uncle. Why? Because they knew. They knew he was the only one who could figure it out. That’s true. You can look it up.”

“Now you look at the Epstein files—very nasty stuff, very bad people, you wouldn’t believe it. Very rich, very powerful. You’d be shocked. But it all connects, folks. The science, the secrets, the people. Some of these people, they were very involved in technology, psychology, mind control, probably even with the scientists. Epstein was into that, they don’t tell you that part. They don’t want you to know my uncle knew things. He saw it coming, long before anyone else. That’s why they were afraid. That’s why they hid the names, the flight logs, all of it.”

“I’m just saying—if they had listened to my uncle, if they had listened to me, a lot of these sick people wouldn’t have gotten away with it. But they didn’t. And now you have chaos. Disgraceful!”

64

u/JimmyRamone17_ Jul 22 '25 edited Jul 22 '25

"My uncle taught at MIT for 51 years. Can you believe that? When he joined the department, he was already a genius with 3 degrees. Nuclear, chemical and math.

He taught the "HOTTEST" courses at MIT and people would line up outside his office to make sure that they could get a seat at his class to learn from him. It was unbelievable, but he amazed a lot of people. Some even called him a super genius with a very high IQ.

He was so good that he even taught Ted Kaczynski and he's known for being a brilliant guy and he got it from my uncle. He's so well regarded at MIT that all the other professors would beg him to help them set up their own courses, even in fields he wasn't familiar with. When he had them all taken care of, he'd leave and they'd have tears in their eyes from gratitude. What a terrific and incredible guy really.

The Fake News Media is lucky that the two of them aren't around right now because if they were around I know that they'd see right through the Jeffrey Epstein "HOAX" and how it was written by Obama, the Democrats and all of their evidence was made with AI. They knew about AI back then, they predicted it, many people are saying"

The good news is I think they are overplaying their hands here. I have said a few times before, both parties (who to be clear are not the same) seem to have a bit of a blind spot to what is a step too far for "normie voters" who don't pay attention to a lot of the day-to-day politician content we do, but certain things stick with them.

In 2022, Republicans had a red wave and they decided to take advantage and ran a lot of candidates who explicitly were running on invalidating elections and overriding results. Every single one of those candidates lost. Normie voters will "both sides" way too much and ignore a lot of our legitimate critiques about Republicans, but they actually do like democracy and their votes mattering and running on invalidating elections was a bridge too far for them.

In 2024, even before Biden's debate, a lot of voters realized he was just too old and infirm to be president again. He was losing in basically every poll even pre-debate and in swing states. And there were Democrats saying "stop talking about his age, I'd vote for Joe Biden's corpse over Donald Trump." And look, that might have been the right thing to do. But to a lot of Normie Voters, having a President who was very frail and who was having clear cognitive issues running to be President for another 4 years was a bridge to far.

Now, Republicans really think that protecting child predators is going to be ok? L:ike this is one of the few red lines that people actually seem to care about. Maybe this gets resolved quickly and never fully gets into the public consciousness. Voter memories are short. But this feels like something that if it drags on is going to mean something to Normie Voters.

To be clear, while I used examples from both sides, this is not meant to imply that both sides or the same or both sides are cults or anything like that. I am a Democrat and think we are worlds better than conservatives and MAGA obviously (!). But I still think that we can all have blind spots about how lower information of less politically engaged voters can think and the stories that just never register to them and the ones that can make people and candidates look really really bad.

44

u/lazyFer Jul 22 '25

In 2024, even before Biden's debate, a lot of voters realized he was just too old and infirm to be president again.

Notice that Trump has sounded like the dementia addled geriatric diaper wearing moron he is and that didn't stop anyone from voting for him.

You call them "blind spots" about low information voters...the problem is less about blind spots and more about how the fuck do you reach people so out of tune of everything? They have to find SOMETHING to be interested in in order to bother paying any attention at all. It doesn't help when all the mainstream media outlets are all owned by the wealthy that like those sweet sweet tax breaks from Republicans.

Mainstream media ran stories 24x7 about Biden being old...then sanewashed every fucking utterance of Trump.

"blind spot" is the wrong adjective friend.

our government is running interference

99% of them are Republicans. Let's be specific about who is responsible.

94

u/Plaid_Piper Jul 22 '25 edited Jul 22 '25

It's clear that the Republicans have a large faction of "Secret Sex Party" goers. I believe it's been something that has been happening since at least the 70's. Not saying it doesn't happen on the Democrat side, but I am saying that parties like this are often loaded with honeypots and are a prime target for sexpionage. Anywhere powerful people start throwing sperm around on the regular becomes a prime target.

Who do we know that has experience throwing secret sex parties? Who was that guys best friend for years? Who was able to basically take over the GOP without much significant resistance? Who was able to convince the GOP to work in lockstep with them, despite the significant chance of losing support from their constituents? Who stood with him EVEN AFTER JAN 6th.

65

u/throwaway_circus Jul 22 '25

I remember when Rep. Madison Cawthorn was staunchly defended by the GOP for racism, vacationing at Hitler's home, spouting anti-Ukrainian Russian propaganda, defending J6. But when he mentioned GOP orgies and coke, all of a sudden, bye bye job. This was the moment it all started going downhill for him, when he noticed his party was being run by geriatric degenerates:

“I mean, being kind of a young guy in Washington, where the average age is probably 60 or 70 — you know, I look at all these people, a lot of them that I’ve always looked up to through my life, always paid attention to politics, guys that, you know. Then all of the sudden you get invited to, like, ‘Oh hey, we’re going to have kind of a sexual get-together at one of our homes. You should come,’ ” Cawthorn said in the interview, which was reported Sunday by Business Insider. “And I’m like, ‘What? What did you just ask me to come to?’ And then you realize they’re asking you to come to an orgy.”

Cawthorn also claimed that he had witnessed unnamed prominent figures in Washington doing cocaine.

“Or the fact that, you know, there’s some of the people that are leading on the movement to try and remove addiction in our country, and then you watch them do a key bump of cocaine right in front of you. And it’s like, this is wild,” he said.

35

u/Plaid_Piper Jul 22 '25

Yep Cawthorn was a very significant canary in the coal mine imo. When that happened we should have been digging hard and making him name names.

23

u/AnnikaSkyeWalker Jul 22 '25

Also, the way his career got destroyed was that a video leaked of him having sex with another guy.

Sure as hell seems like whoever's been gathering sexual kompromat on the GOP gathered it on Madison, too. And when he threatened to reveal the whole operation, they dropped it to destroy his career.

These were not secret sex parties. These were organized child rapes.

46

u/Plaid_Piper Jul 22 '25

That they were, but while it is disgusting and disturbing, it's not a stretch to go from "known secret sex parties loaded with republicans" to "very very secret sex parties loaded with children and surreptitious recording equipment, and also republicans".

It's possible that this sick operation was integral to gaining power, against all odds. IMO it would explain a lot.

I check out the comments on Fox News, TruthSocial and X under the Epstein posts. At first, MAGA seemed to be very disappointed with Trump for not doing more about the Epstein case. That was not that long ago and now it seems they've moved on to whatever Trump says. They LOVE the idea of Obama, Biden, Hillary being in prison. They also are very racist so they especially hate Obama. So, a small percentage might be finally understanding that Trump is really avoiding the Epstein file and that looks really bad on Trump. I have little hope of the rest of MAGA changing.

They aren't as eager to talk about him. A lot of disappointment being expressed. If you push it some are quick to say "but he did/is doing this good thing", but it is nice to see the enthusiasm dwindling.

45

u/DrZaious Jul 22 '25 edited Jul 23 '25

Only if you stop flooding the zone. We must do what they have done for the last 8.5 years, contol the conversation. "Whatabout the Epstein files." We pull every conversation back to Trump and Epstein no matter how unrelated the topic is. Just like they did with, but her emails, Biden's laptop, Biden canceled pipeline, immigrant invaders, let's go Brandon, I thought she was indian, Harris hasn't accomplished anything as VP, Harris supports prisoners transitioning, and etc.

If you see a video of an old lady showing off her homemade dinner, you mention Trump and Epstein.

How you win on social media is by controlling the conversation. To contol the conversation you must hammer that idea into the minds of people, where it becomes unavoidable and predictable. You make the narrative something the opposition is forced to confront every time they do or say anything.

There's nothing to see here. Also, everyone involved is now immune from prosecution because there is no evidence. So its real important to protect them from future litigation over non-existent evidence.

• September 2024: On the Lex Fridman podcast, Trump reiterated he would “certainly take a look” at releasing the Epstein client list. (ABC11)
• October 2024: Senator J.D. Vance and other MAGA allies echoed Trump’s pledge, saying “we need to release the Epstein list.” (PolitiFact)
• January 30, 2025: Trump’s FBI Director nominee Kash Patel told the Senate he intended to expose anyone who “worked with Jeffrey Epstein.” (PolitiFact)
• February 21, 2025: Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed that the Epstein client list was “on my desk,” citing Trump’s directive to review it. (PolitiFact)

Should add more background into how Acosta previously helped Epstein get a plea deal in 2008 while Florida attorney general which resulted in a ridiculously light sentence

48

u/MissionCreeper Jul 22 '25

→ More replies (4)

149

u/Probable_Bison Jul 22 '25

Let's also remember that Ken Starr and Alan Dershowitz were lawyers for Trump and Epstein.

So when Epstein got a sweetheart plea deal, people from both sides of the table in that travesty found work with Trump.

19

u/gnarlseason Jul 22 '25

Exactly - show his original arrest in Florida in 2008 where Acosta gave him a plea deal that gave him immunity (and is what Maxwell is currently appealing, claiming she should be a part of that immunity deal!).

Show that one of the victims (now dead) said she met Epstein for the first time at Mar a Lago.

Reiterate that Epstein was arrested again under Trump's watch and died under Trump's watch. Not Biden's.

Show that Trump claims to have had a falling out with his long-term friend of 20 years *just* before Epstein's initial arrest. How convenient. Yet just years before that he gave that interview where he called Epstein his "friend" and said that he "likes them young". Just a year before that he sent the "bawdy" letter. Trump has deep ties to this guy and somehow MAGA turned it into a conspiracy against *Democrats*.

This is evidence (at least to me) they are going to destroy every shred of evidence in those files linking Trump to Epstein's child sex-trafficking operation and pedophilia parties.

285

u/NearlyAtTheEnd Jul 22 '25

Definitely. Buying time to fix the narrative and destroy whatever evidence.

Hopefully there's some backup of everything somewhere.

I've been continuously dreaming and hoping that the Biden administration secretly copied everything. Be it physical papers, servers or otherwise of everything. Everything means literally everything.

They have had to know they are fascists and would shred everything, you know. From government bodies/entities to evidence. If I was in charge, I would definitely spend my 4 years recording and saving everything.

If the system gets back to normal and things need to be reinstated, paperwork, servers and such would save billions.

93

u/pocketbutter Jul 22 '25

It would definitely be cool if someone in the Biden admin copied stuff, but as we learned from Trump during that time, keeping top-secret documents after leaving office can get you in a lot of trouble. Let’s hope a whistleblower can manage to stay anonymous.

Someone pointed out that trump: 1. Ran a modeling agency importing girls from other countries 2. Purchased miss teen USA beauty pageant, also giving him access to underage girls

Neither of those things is necessarily proof, but damn if those aren’t highly related to what Epstein was doing…

43

u/ThunderGunned Jul 22 '25

I understand he purchased the pageant the same year Epstein purchased the island.

16

u/AnnikaSkyeWalker Jul 22 '25

Also, worth pointing out the "other countries" a lot of the girls came from were Russia and other ex-Warsaw Pact countries.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is how Trump began cozying up with the Russian mob in the first place. The mob supplied the girls, Trump's "modeling agency" got them into the US, and Epstein hooked them up with their clients. At least, that's my theory, anyways.

Mike Johnson could have plenty to hide, even if he isn't on the list.

Releasing the Epstein files would almost certainly show Trump is a child rapist, which likely would topple the Trump administration ala Nixon. Without Trump at the head of the MAGA cult, the entire house of cards would implode. (If you think Couchfucker Vance can hold it together, I have a bridge to sell you.) The implosion of MAGA would likely result in landslide losses for R's in the House and Senate and the Presidency in 2028.

So yes, Johnson has a lot to hide because he and Republicans have everything to lose with their release.

130

u/Wildpony03 Jul 22 '25

MJ pretty much knows he is going to lose his speakership over this. Shutting down the house to avoid a vote is pretty much a sign that Trump is in the files. Democrats can then ride this to the bank.

12

u/SevanEleven Jul 22 '25

Not a fan of Johnson but he really just cancelled 1 day of votes. The House was going into August recess anyways, which it does every year. The August recess is the "break" from DC that members typically use to go back to their district, do meet and greets, hold town halls, meet with local leaders, hold fundraisers/campaign events, tour new facilities, visit with students, and if they want to, take a vacation. While not all members use this time wisely, if they didn't have the recess then they wouldn't have time to actually meet with their constituents because they'd be stuck in DC all the time.

Narcissists do not plan ahead, or at least effectively they do not.

Because he was in control then he thought he'd always be in control. All he has to do is lie, and keep lying, right?

Once they lose control of the narrative they panic.

With nothing to fall back upon, we'll see them flail and flail and flail, trying desperately to pull the wool back over their followers eyes. A new desperate made up story to make him look good and everyone else bad every minute.

There are two possible outcomes: 1. They fall in line, and they collectively pretend this never happened and was nothing of importance. 2. This loose string keeps getting pulled and the whole ball of lies unwinds irrevocably.

I've been in a similar situation, it could go either way.

He complained about “endless efforts to politicize the Epstein investigation” and added: “We’re not going to play political games with this,” as he wrapped up his final news conference before September.

Yes. You are playing political games. If there is nothing to hide, release the information and let the chips fall where they may. Either Trump is completely innocent and never mentioned, or Guilty as hell and all over this thing. I'm sure Bill Clinton is all over it too. They can both go down.
