All involved need to be held accountable.

1.5k

u/FuriousBuffalo Jul 25 '25

Any child rapist should be held to account. Democrat, Republican, Black, White, ... or Orange.

135

u/Concentrateman Canada Jul 25 '25

Or human.

94

u/hankmoody_irl Kansas Jul 25 '25

Human is a loose term when describing the type of piece of shit it takes to fuck a child.

91

u/greedthatsme Jul 25 '25

Can we please be clear, not to nitpick, but I find the distinction important: rape. They didn’t “fuck” or “have sex” with the child. They raped them. That’s an important distinction I believe.

or at least that's what maga wants everyone to do. fortunately the rest of the world doesn't base their entire personality on sucking up to a conman rapist.

I don't give a damn if Jimmy Carter and Keanu Reeves are on the list, dump them all.

Please don’t bring Keanu into this. Maybe use Mother Teresa instead.

u/WyrdHarper Jul 25 '25

I'm sure I'm not the only millennial who learned what a blowjob was (vaguely) from NPR coverage of the Monica Lewinsky scandal as a kid. I've always thought he's a skeevy old dude, and HRC refusing to disavow him despite his sordid history was just another reason I preferred other (typically more progressive) candidates over her when I was finally able to vote. The whole "first woman president" thing really rang hollow when she remained married to and toured with a man who cheated on her often and publicly.

81

u/FoolishConsistency17 Jul 25 '25

I don't have an opinion on what she should have done. It's her marriage and no one knows their dynamic. What I couldn't forgive were the nominally pro-women advocates falling over themselves to explain how the leader of the free world convincing a 21 year old intern to blow him wasn't at all coercive or inappropriate, totally a mutual relationship, honestly mostly her fault because she was sorta chunky. It was surreal.

31

u/iKill_eu Jul 25 '25

Yeah, it really is unforgivable how Monica Lewinsky was treated in the aftermath. And it is a story not told nearly often enough.

147

u/Great_Standard3441 Jul 25 '25

That is usually the case, but to me, this seems strategic on Murdoch's part. They are slow rolling this to keep the story alive. If they drop everything they have all at once and the story dies in a week then they have no more cards to play.

63

u/Blainedecent Jul 25 '25

I'd say they're planning to burn and dump Trump.

46

u/Married_iguanas Jul 25 '25

Yep, Murdoch got his big billionaire bill and no longer needs Trump

45

u/BenKen01 Jul 25 '25

Honestly it feels like they’re getting the Clinton thing out there so it can do its thing in the media cycle before the hammer gets dropped on Trump. Like if you released it all at once it would be too much, but now we can talk about Bill for a few days and then maybe Friday we get to see the disgusting drawing Trump made. Idk, just talking out of my ass here.

25

u/MyNewsAccount2011 Jul 25 '25

I feel like the Clinton thing is to keep the MAGA base interested.

Most of the pissed off MAGA people still refuse to see that Trump is guilty. They just think he’s covering for the Deep State elite. They say he’s a fraud, because they can’t acknowledge what their eyes and ears are showing them.

Reminding them that the people they hate are on in those files also (probably) is a way to fan the flames.

46

u/Great_Standard3441 Jul 25 '25

I feel like they released the Clinton letter so that rightwingers wouldn't accuse them of not releasing the page in the book that came from a Democrat president. More Trump content is certainly to come from WSJ though.

And several former prime ministers of israel, I know we'll definitely hold israeli politicians accounta - oh, wait.

270

u/Beneficial_Soup3699 Jul 25 '25

Fun time to remind folks that Ghislaine's daddy had ties to Mossad and ran a publishing empire that he defrauded for hundreds of millions right up until his body was found floating in the Atlantic.

As Carlin said, it's one big club and you ain't it. He just forgot to mention you probably don't wanna be in it. Cuz. Ya know. Of all the child trafficking.

52

u/fireman2004 Jul 25 '25

He was given a state funeral in Israel and they basically praised him as a major intelligence asset for the country.

But I'm sure his daughter and Epstein had no ties to Israeli intelligence.

14

u/APigInANixonMask Jul 25 '25

He also died a hilarious death. He was peeing off the side of his yacht while fully nude when he had a heart attack, fell overboard, and drowned.

Do people forget garland had 4 years to do this already?

229

u/takesjuantogrowone Jul 25 '25

Garland had 4 years to do a lot of things, and he sandbagged for the fascists instead.

42

u/Chirpy69 Jul 25 '25

Without disqualifying the current administration and all cronies involved for their moral bankruptcy, Garland is also single-handedly responsible for the things we have come to witness.

29

u/EvilWarBW Jul 25 '25

Sounds like Garland did exactly as intended.

39

u/Past_My_Subprime Jul 25 '25

Garland, Comey, Mueller, Lynch, Holder, Barr, Sessions, Gonzales, and both Clintons are in the list of subpoenas recommended to Comer a day or two ago in the Epstein/Maxwell probe.

26

u/elconquistador1985 Jul 25 '25

From an article about the subpoenae that the oversight committee approved:

Republicans on the committee pushed back and amended the subpoena to also include communications by Biden administration officials and the DOJ. These officials include Bill and Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, Robert Mueller, William Barr, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzales.

Most of that is probably just to dig up unrelated bullshit, not "omg these people were all involved too".

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/house-oversight-committee-issues-subpoena-ghislaine-maxwell/story?id=124009512

17

u/Framistatic Jul 25 '25

I believe these additional people were subpoenaed, not specifically for the Epstein investigation, but rather that they are being accused of instigating a coup with President Obama… And supposedly faking the Epstein papers

7

u/Inlerah Jul 25 '25

I wonder at what point the official stance is going to become "He never got a trial: are you sure he sex trafficked anyone???"

Nobody forgets. They were wrong as well. At the same time, members of the current administration repeatedly implied an intention to investigate this right up until the time when they actually gained the ability to do so and now they are doing a 180 and waffling between it doesn’t exist, it was made up, there is no substance to it and people should just forget about it. That’s the only reason they are getting more heat about it and it’s their own fault.

25

u/smashinjin10 Jul 25 '25

No we don't. Garland did nothing because he was, and is, a status quo wet blanket. Now we're dealing with a creep from the Epstein files doing nothing because he's actually on them. Garland enabled this by not going after Trump more aggressively, but now we have to address the present danger.

10

u/Hesitation-Marx Jul 25 '25

Garland is responsible for

  • every person sent to CECOT from America

  • every person in Alligator Auschwitz

  • every person who dies because of USAID cuts

  • every person who dies because of NOAA and FEMA cuts

  • every person who dies because of Brainworm Bobby’s crusade against science

They literally cannot fathom that we will lock up the people we agreed with if we find out they're pedos...and yet Al Franken got kicked out of the Senate over a fucking photo.

14

u/Gp-Creepys Jul 25 '25

Oh my gosh! Thank you for bringing up Franken. There were other allegations other than the photograph. However no charges were ever brought and no ethics investigation was ever requested. Democrat and Republican Senators called for his resignation and he stepped down. To this day there are no misconduct charges to Franken. It's sad that the kind of respect and accountability only seems to shine through on one side. I would have loved an Al Franken-Pete Buttigieg ticket from 2020.

29

Oh, big yikes.

Also, apparently this is how his father (Eli Black) died, according to the wiki:

On February 3, 1975, Black went to his office on the forty-fourth floor of the Pan Am Building in Manhattan. At about 8:00 a.m., he fell to his death, landing on the northbound Park Avenue Viaduct beside motorists. Homicide detectives concluded that the quarter-inch glass window was broken with Black's attaché case and classified his death a suicide.[4] A few weeks later the Securities and Exchange Commission uncovered a $1.25 million bribe that United Brands paid to Honduran president Oswaldo López Arellano under authorization by Black in order to obtain a reduction of taxes on banana exports.

Banana Republic(ans), all the way down.

907

u/enjoycarrots Florida Jul 24 '25

So, not that I'm trying to exonerate Bill Clinton the sex pest probable rapist, but it should be strongly noted that Trump's letter isn't bad just because it was in Jeffrey Epstein's birthday album or addressed to Epstein. It's the actual content of that letter that is hard to interpret any other way than a wink-wink reference to secret, potentially criminal sexual endeavors.

If Clinton is implicated in Epstein's child prostitution, then I hope he's charged and thrown in jail. I hope that information becomes public.

65

u/AusToddles Jul 25 '25

Never discount Republican ability to double-speak. Clinton writing Happy birthday to Epstein will be inexcusable while Trump's creepy, cryptic love letter to Epstein will be "nothing to look at"

9

u/TooMuchPowerful Jul 25 '25

We've had a decade of "but her emails".  So yeah, they are well versed.

169

u/ajmartin527 Jul 25 '25

I think the problem with them going after Clinton, or scapegoating Clinton in any way, is that they’ll have to crack open all of the evidence files in court AND would be setting the precedent people in the Epstein files should be prosecuted. It would be a flying too close to the sun situation.

I can see them focusing on him in the media and trashing him but never actually trying to prosecute.

If he’s guilty he obviously should be held accountable at some point.

105

u/thegloriousporpoise Jul 25 '25

There’s less than zero chance that Hilary doesn’t have the same evidence on Trump that Trump has on Bill.

It’s why no one ratted anyone out yet. Mutually assured destruction

51

u/AusToddles Jul 25 '25

Someone asked "why are there so many photos of Maxwell with celebrities, who then say they have no idea who she is"

My theory has always been M.A.D. Let's say some unproblematic celeb started talking about shit they heard on the grapevine. All of the sudden, a random picture from an event 15 years early pops up of them standing next to Maxwell. Now everything they say will be tinged with "yeah... but he knew her too.... so who's to say he wasn't doing it also"

5

u/hgeyer99 Michigan Jul 25 '25

What does M.A.D. Mean

20

u/AusToddles Jul 25 '25

Mutally Assured Destruction

aka "if I'm going down, I'm taking you with me". It's arguably the one thing that stopped WW3 happening during the cold war. Neither side could fire first without the other having time to retaliate

My disposition:

Having lived whitewater (anti clinton catch all), Republican spawned birtherism (anti obama catchall) & factional bullshit for DECADES when Democrats are in power:

If we're talking about Clinton in the context of Epstein with Trump in power, then we've already fumbled away the ball.

6

u/neogreenlantern Jul 25 '25

Yeah. Obviously these things should bury people in the court of public opinion but sending a pervy cards or showing up in the flight logs don't actually constitute a real crime.

I have a feeling any of these documents the FBI has don't actually spell out any crimes and the real reason Trump hasn't gone after any names mentioned is because the same amount of circumstantial evidence, if not more, can be said about him. I'm sure if he has concrete evidence about some he hates he wouldn't hesitate to use it.

9

u/Obvious-Dinner-1082 Jul 25 '25

What’s the deal with Bill Clinton? I guess I haven’t heard or read much besides the blowjob. Which, morally wrong, cheating on your wife isn’t exactly mind blowing.

33

u/enjoycarrots Florida Jul 25 '25

He was accused by a number of women of various degrees of sexual impropriety. The woman he got the blowjob (and other things) from was quite young at the time, although an adult, and he was in a stark position of power over her, so even the blowjob was a bit deeper than just him being a cheater.

the book included a page with a single paragraph in Clinton’s distinctive scrawl: “ It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”

7

u/Dazzling-Cabinet6264 Jul 25 '25

I’m just trying to figure out what kind of friends write things like this to each other.

Do people just glaze billionaires because they’re billionaires?

Like my very best friend in this world, I think I have bought him something for his birthday once or twice as an adult… We both tried it just never stuck.

So now, if we’re lucky we get or send a text to each other.

And it just says “happy birthday bud”

I ain’t writing some creepy ass poem

6

u/KnightDuty Jul 25 '25

If their partner said "I'm putting together something special for their milestone 50th. I'm asking everybody to write a note or poem or special message" it does change the framing. I've seen it done in video form for milestones.

But it's never creepy

Jeffrey Epstein’s Birthday Album Included Letters From Bill Clinton, Leon Black

Former president, Wall Street billionaire were listed along with Donald Trump as ‘friends’ in the 2003 book’s table of contents, which named around five dozen contributors

By Khadeeja Safdar and Joe Palazzolo

In the end, she was successful. The leather-bound album—assembled before Epstein was first arrested in 2006—included a page with a single paragraph in Clinton’s distinctive scrawl:

It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.

A spokesman for Clinton declined to comment on the birthday message, which was reviewed by the Journal. He referred the Journal to a previous statement that the former president had cut off ties more than a decade before Epstein was arrested in 2019 and didn’t know about Epstein’s alleged crimes.

The former president was among around five dozen people, including Donald Trump, Wall Street billionaire Leon Black, fashion designer Vera Wang and media owner Mort Zuckerman, who ended up with letters in the 2003 book, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

The letter bearing Trump’s signature, which had the outline of a naked woman, was one of the more memorable pages, according to the people involved in putting the album together. Trump has called the letter “a fake thing.”

The professionally bound birthday book had multiple volumes and included a table of contents that listed the contributions, organized into groups. While many letter writers weren’t famous, some categories had notable people.

Clinton and Trump were listed under the “Friends” group, along with about 20 other associates such as Black, Zuckerman, former Victoria’s Secret leader Leslie Wexner, attorney Alan Dershowitz, and the late Jean-Luc Brunel, who ran a modeling agency. Zuckerman didn’t respond to requests for comment.

A “Business” group included the late Alan “Ace” Greenberg and the late James “Jimmy” Cayne. Both men worked at Bear Stearns when Epstein was at the investment bank in the 1970s.

Other people were grouped under categories such as “Science,” “Brooklyn” and “Family.”

I'm not trying to protect Clinton here. If he is guilty then he should be locked up.

That said...there is clearly a difference between the content of Clinton's letter and Trump's letter. One sounds like something you'd read on a graduation card or an eldery person's birthday card. The other is just....well disgustingly gross.

u/WDWKamala Jul 25 '25

I gotta say the mention of “childlike curiosity” is a peculiar choice of phrase.

28

u/Great_Standard3441 Jul 25 '25

I've heard that phrase plenty of times in my life and I've never associated it with pedophilia. I'd chalk it up to a very unfortunate choice of words. Again though, if Clinton is guilty then he should be locked up for the rest of his life.

24

u/paultheschmoop Jul 25 '25

Clinton is notoriously a sex pest and we’re talking about a letter he wrote to a notorious child sex trafficker. He deserves no benefit of the doubt. We’d think it’s weird if trump wrote it and it’s weird that Clinton wrote it.

7

u/Great_Standard3441 Jul 25 '25

If Trump had written the letter that Clinton wrote I would not find it weird or disturbing at all. It's a well documented fact that they were close friends for a very long time. It's pretty normal for friends to give friends a birthday card. I am unwilling to say every person who gave Epstein a birthday card is a pedophile. It just simply isn't true.

it's a common saying. taking issue with that is almost as bad as people claiming that "enigmas" was used as an anagram for "gamines."

u/nyc217 Jul 25 '25

Fuck that. Clinton maybe was just not dumb enough to write incriminating innuendos because he already was already president.

10

u/Great_Standard3441 Jul 25 '25

Clinton is certainly smarter than Trump. I'll give you that. That said, this article is about Clinton's letter. Nothing in that letter is remotely comparable to Trump's letter.

Clearly what happened here is Obama and Comey planted a fake Trump letter among authentic ones from actual pedos. /s

Clinton being dragged into the picture does not make Trump less pedophile.

Most likely, they are both pedophiles but I am more worried with Trump because he is our president who can cover up the story.

27

u/HUP Jul 24 '25

I used to love BC. If he's involved, fuck him.

20

u/UltravioletAfterglow Jul 25 '25

Clinton long has had an established history of at best improper and at worst predatory behavior toward women, though, and was arrogant enough to conduct some of it in the Oval Office. To me, he was a good president but is a bad human being.

7

u/even_less_resistance Arkansas Jul 25 '25

This is true. I had to come to terms with this when researching more. I don’t know if he is a criminal in this regard, but he def has creep vibes.

Business Week has a very friendly profile of Burkle — his first in three years, they claimed, though LA Weekly begs to differ — in which Burkle, who is currently making a play for Barney’s and Barnes & Noble, disses the former president and makes it clear that the breakup was not just one-sided. You know, because Hillary was running for President and Burkle was a well-known womanizer and model hound and the two of them together caused rumors and nicknames for the Burkle jet like “Air Fuck One.” I know. Burkle totally had to end it.

After a series of three test issues focused on satire, he relaunched it in 2005 and again in 2006 with help from investors and family members, including Jeffrey Epstein.[10][11][12]

The print magazine was suddenly shuttered in 2008 after its primary backer, billionaire Ron Burkle, who owned a substantial interest in Star and National Enquirer publisher American Media, withdrew.

I vote we investigate more of these fellas rather than less, tbh

Take 'em all down! I voted for Clinton twice, but if he's involved (and that's not really a shocker) he needs to go down too!

We cannot condone this. I don't care what their politics are or how much money they have.

Lock 'em all up!

10

u/bigt503 Jul 25 '25

Get them too. It’s hilarious that people on the right think dems cultishly worship bill Clinton. There isn’t a single person on earth I wouldn’t want to be held accountable for sex trafficking and raping minors. (Or anybody for that matter )

Great, if true, prosecute them all. Throw them all in jail, every single one. Both sides of the aisle and anywhere in between.

7

I think a copy of Trump's letter should be included as a forward in every copy of his Bible he sells.

6

Anyone got a way people can read for free?

6

12

u/Invisibleagejoy Jul 25 '25

Voted for Clinton. I voted for Hillary Clinton as well. Hate Trump. It is likely that Bill did things and Hillary may have known enough that she should have acted. If this is true Lock them up. If someone previously thought to be a person I lookup to shows up, prosecute and put them in jail.

4

u/Guerrilla032 Jul 25 '25

Throw them ALL in jail.

Ok. Did he write the letter with a doodle of a naked girl and wish him that every day is a wonderful new secret? Because if he's guilty I'm ok with him getting the blowtorch.

But Trump is 100% guilty.

8

u/Pdm1814 Jul 25 '25

lol at this. Media needs to quit with the clickbait headlines and post Bill Clinton’s message side by side with Trump. There is a big difference in what Clinton said vs Trump.

Everyone who was involved should be in prison.

"Clinton and Trump were listed under the “Friends” group, along with about 20 other associates such as Black, Zuckerman, former Victoria’s Secret leader Leslie Wexner, attorney Alan Dershowitz, U.K. politician Peter Mandelson and the late Jean-Luc Brunel, who ran a modeling agency."

Seems like these were the ones most obviously tied to being "clients" lol

4

u/picklebucketguy Jul 25 '25

I mean if we got at least two presidents locked up, lock them up together. Opposite ends of the hall on the same block

10

u/B1GFanOSU Jul 25 '25

Thing is, one side has zero hesitation about that. Like, I might still have to a Clinton-Gore campaign pin from the 1990s somewhere, but I’ve never had a Clinton campaign hat, a Clinton flag, or especially a Clinton Bible BECAUSE THEY DON’T EXIST!!!

If he was fucking kids, lock his ass up. I doubt even his most ardent supporters wouldn’t want justice. That’s what not being in a fucking cult is like. Democrats have already been keeping him at arms length for the last quarter century.

That said, my skepticism is because of Hillary, Paula Jones, and Monica Lewinsky. He had a type, and it didn’t appear to be anywhere close to what Epstein was peddling. Maybe he was into the Epstein scene, but I’d have more (admittedly kind of gross and chauvinistic) questions.

But, only one way to find out…

Were they also weird messages about sharing secrets with one another?

3

u/gumgajua Canada Jul 24 '25

I'm sorry, but how is this literally a story about anything? This is such a complete nothing burger, what am I supposed to garner from this information? Man has friends, those friends wrote birthday messages to him.

There literally isn't a single shred of scandalous information in here, sure there are some names listed, but absolutely nowhere does it link people to any crimes. Trump is definitely in the Epstein list, but this is just such useless garbage. Guess the only real use for it is to keep this in the news cycle, which I do suppose is good.

Jean Luc Brunel also killed himself in 2020… Epstein backed his modeling agency. Trump also had a modeling agency that he closed in 2016. Lots and lots of beautiful people women they could use and abuse for profit in the industry…. and beyond
