The media is so fucking complicit. They’ve already pushed past the Epstein story without spending even one sixteenth the coverage they gave Hillary’s emails.
635
u/Ferelar New Jersey 2d ago edited 2d ago
And Hillary got dragged through TEN SEPERATE INVESTIGATIONS into Benghazi, including HOURS of continual cross-examination with one of the interrogations lasting ELEVEN HOURS, and despite hour after hour after hour of inane questioning by that partisan fuckstick Gowdy who was utterly biased they STILL found so little evidence of wrongdoing that they couldn't pin something on her despite it being a blatant kangaroo court...
... meanwhile Trump has done, and this is not even one iota of hyperbole, THOUSANDS OF THINGS worse than that and not had to suffer the "indignity" of a single hearing (I put indignity in quotes because you cannot suffer an indignity if you have no dignity). I remember Fox running one headline after another of how Hillary PERSONALLY saw to it that the Benghazi incident would occur, to the point where they were pulling out the "Couldn't we say that that meant she personally murdered those fine folks? I'm just asking questions here!" shit.
Edit: I said eight investigations, it was TEN. And she testified for 11 fucking hours in one of the hearings!! They tried so hard to make anything stick and nothing did, and yet when they have the actual fucking anti-Christ in front of them it's hemming and hawing instead.

u/atxbigfoot 2d ago
Don't forget that the Benghazi investigation found that the funding for security at embassies in dangerous places like Benghazi was cut by, you guessed it, Republicans, which set up the entire fail chain.
They don't mention that, though.
→ More replies (1)54
u/HauntedCemetery Minnesota 1d ago
Fucking exactly. Republicans at best were cheap, and greedy. Its more likely they were fishing for a tragedy they could use to attack the absurdly popular President Obama, so they slashed security funding for embassies in conflict areas.
The Benghazi embassy went from having 40 marines always on duty to like 5.
Because Republicans took them away and left the embassy in a fucking war zone without adequate security.

It's honestly incredible. We still do not talk enough about how much the media screwed Hillary Clinton, and by extension the country, during the 2016 campaign. Clinton's emails were, by a very wide margin, the most covered story of the entire campaign. This, despite the fact that every investigation into the emails found no wrong doing by anyone. It was a literal non story, no one did anything wrong, it caused zero problems in any way, there aren't even any hypothetical problems it could have caused, because Clinton and her team handled classified material properly. But for over a year, it was the biggest story in politics, even though no one could explain why it mattered, because it did not matter.
Clinton's opponent in 2016 was an unstable moron who legit can not read, who has a lifetime's worth of blatant fraud and dangerous incompetence on his record as a businessman, who was literally working with the Russian government to get elected president, and who was best friends with America's most notorious child sex predator. Clinton was the most qualified and prepared candidate to ever run for the job, Trump was the most dangerously unqualified and unfit man to ever stand for high office, and the media spent the entire election talking about a fake email story that Republicans in Congress cooked up while they were openly abusing their government authority for hack partisan purposes.

It was 100% him. This is dementia. He knows makeup covers blemishes, but that's the extent of his capacity to problem solve. He doesn't understand that he needs makeup that matches his skin tones anymore.
He's lost those higher functions that would allow him to actually solve the problem he's having. He might be frustrated that it doesn't match, but he won't be capable of figuring out why the makeup isn't working.
It's sad to see, but only because it reminds me of better people who have gone through the same disease who are worth the empathy.

My wife's grandma was in diapers and would take them off, scoop out the contents into the toilet and then put them back on. She knew that it went into the toilet, but didn't have the mental capacity to completely figure out the solution. Nursing home staff had to basically check her like you would an infant or toddler to make sure she wasn't walking about with a soiled diaper all day. Even though my wife's grandma was an awful person, it was still sad to see.

At some point, this becomes elder abuse.
Regan was suffering from alzheimers pretty bad, especially in the last 2 years of his second term.
Strom Truman had dementia, was in diapers, falling asleep in cogress, was incoherent and wandeed off from his "political aid" in 5 points in Columbia andcfell off a curb,.
Kay Granger was missing 6 months and found in a memory care unit.
Diane Feinstein had a slew of health problems that also resulted in cognitive decline including Ramsay Hunt syndrome which caused paralysis on the left side of her face and problems with her balance and eyesight.
Joe Biden, on the downslide, too. Has cancer.
Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Pancreatic cancer and advanced age.
The positions these people hold are high-level stress, it isnt like being a walmart greeter ffs.
The presidency especially. Look at how it has aged younger presidents.
If we can have an age minimum, then why can't there be an age maximum?
But seriously, when you have an elder person with issues like the above and like trump clearly has, how is it not elder abuse? I think it is. I know with Strom Thurman it was. It is also fraudulent imho as well.

The location on the hand suggests he's had an IV. A bruise in that spot and that length isn't just normal elderly bruising. He's getting some kind of medication or fluids administered pretty regularly because the bruising is always in the same spot on his hand.
342
u/LackingUtility 2d ago
That's my thought - one bruise, he whacked his hand on something. Weeks or months of this, no, they're giving an IV there because his cubital vein is shot.

Coronavirus Gave Trump the Handshake-free World He Always Wanted
“For most of his life, he didn’t just shun shaking hands. He detested shaking hands. And he made this bugaboo of his nothing if not characteristically explicit. A self-described “germaphobe,” “germ freak” and “clean-hands freak,” Trump over the years has called the practice of the handshake “barbaric,” “disgusting,” “very, very terrible” and “one of the curses of American society.’”
He also despises and cringes at his own trashy voting base who he in reality wants nothing to do with, and has called them “stupid” and “disgusting.” “Maybe this Covid thing is a good thing. ... [Now] I don’t have to shake hands with these disgusting people”

Knowing he's in public, couldn't they give an IV in a more... well invasive place but hidden from the public? like drug users and feet.
or does it seriously just not work like that, gotta be in (said specific places)?
97
u/treebeard189 2d ago
They could and I'm surprised they're not. No reason to use something crazy like feet. You can use an ultrasound to pretty easily place an IV in the forearm/AC (inside of the elbow). I promise it's doable, I've not met someone I can't get an IV on with US and I've had people with much worse histories than him. My guess is whatever RN or tech is at the WH just hasn't been trained on US, the hand is a super classic spot to go for simple infusions and they probably aren't thinking about it. And the people that care in his like PR circle aren't medical so don't know that's an option.
Surprised by that though. I mean that's clearly an IV bruise spot, I know that vein very well and it's a spot id go too, so that's clearly what all this is.
→ More replies (22)44
u/Ardnabrak Texas 2d ago
I'd think repeatedly putting an IV in the same spot on someone his age would cause a lot of damage. Healing is so much slower.
→ More replies (3)41
u/treebeard189 2d ago
There's 4 good veins in the AC that can be easily accessed with US. You can rotate between them if you're worried. Excessive IV insertion can cause scarring which makes future attempts more difficult but that take a lot of time to develop or drugs like chemo that are more damaging.
Plus with US I can go to the same vein but a bit higher or lower much easier. My protocols in the ER were as long as it was 12 hours since the last IV was removed I can go in the exact same spot.
It is a consideration but not a contraindication

What benefit is there over upper forearm near the elbow? I’m not an elderly person but every time I’ve had a blood test it’s always been taken from the inside of my elbow joint. I would have thought that for a government so desperately concerned with maintaining optics of looking strong and powerful they would try and hide an IV port under clothing. Then again they could also just try letting someone who can match makeup to skin tones properly apply the coverup…

u/rose-ramos 2d ago
When I was a little girl & visited my grandpa in the hospital, I kept asking questions, because I was a very annoying child. I remember asking Grandpa, why was the needle in the back of his hand, and didn't that hurt him? A nurse told me they always start with the hand, because if there's a problem with that vein, they can move higher up the arm. But if they put the IV too high up, and there's a problem with that vein, it'll bleed into the rest of the arm, and then all the other veins become unusable.
This was nearly 30 years ago, so I may be wording it wrong, or even remembering it wrong. It's equally possible the nurse just told me whatever would shut me up (I would not blame her). But the explanation stuck with me over the years
→ More replies (2)36
u/plentyofrabbits 2d ago
IVs can go in the inner elbow, but it’s not an ideal spot. It’s really easy for the catheter to get kinked and slow the drip when the IV is placed there, and depending on what he’s having done and how long he needs to drip for, it may be easier to go in his hand. I know when I get IVs I always ask them to go in my wrist.

Ok I’m a nurse (obviously). I get it when you bruise once unexpectedly. But once it happens, you know it will happen again. And if I were him I’d be fighting tooth and nail to never have a hand draw again - only places he can wear a jacket over. The ONLY thing I can think of is that he is getting much more frequent draws and must use his hand in the rotation. And Coumadin can be measured with a fingerstick that won’t bruise like that so it’s got to be something else.
Now if he is shaking hands like he’s hanging on for dear life, mmmaaayyyyyyybe it could cause some bruising like that but that’s a stretch.

I think the hardcore MAGA faithful will devolve even further and turn him into a martyr, more than they have. They’ll splinter off into their own thing, rally against the Washington establishment (both Democrats and GOP), and just spend their time voting 3rd parties or abstaining, or writing in Trump family names.
But I really doubt they’ll rally behind JD Vance. Nobody has the charisma and pull that Trump has on these people, not even his own kids. When he goes, they’ll be the loud, ignorant, belligerent drunk in the corner of the bar that just doesn’t stop.
The people that voted for him but aren’t as indoctrinated into MAGA world will probably still vote for the GOP across the board.
In all honesty, the spell won’t break for all of the hardcores, but the numbers will drop I’m sure.

When the Chernobyl disaster happened, Soviet state media reported that there had been an incident at the power plant. Soviet citizens realized that it must be really bad because they wouldn't have reported it at all otherwise. This feels very similar.

Yeah. If it were something mundane, they wouldn't have copped to CVI but instead would have gone their normal gaslighting route. "You must be blind! [holds up AI image of slender ankles] These are his ankles! Slim as a Major League pitcher's! Typical media, make up lies about the president's beautiful perfect ankles when you should be talking about how bad immigrants are!"

Exactly. If they are saying anything remotely negative about Trump it's because the truth is both really bad and impossible to ignore.

Them admitting something was wrong with him was the tell that something is REALLY wrong with him. They’d never admit to anything, they’d straight up say he’s healthier than God, even if your eyes showed you otherwise. Yet they said that he has something wrong with him. Hell, they probably only announced that because the problems were probably going to start getting more noticeable and undeniable real fast

Hard to fathom what Americans were thinking when they decided the best person to be president was an obese 79 year old with a family history of dementia, who is also a convicted criminal, adjudicated rapist, and pedophile.
That choice shows Americans to be idiots, incapable of rational thought.

That's not necessarily a killer. It makes a patient more vulnerable to other killers, but CHF alone isn't a guaranteed trip to the morgue. Still, it's not a joke and if he has a CHF diagnosis some serious discussion about whether or not he should remain in a very stressful job should be had.

u/ShamelessLeft 2d ago
That's the thing tho, how stressful can his job be when he doesn't care about what happens to the country? What's probably stressing him out is everyone knows he's a pedo.

Right. But all of a sudden, Trump is very concerned about some checklist to get into heaven. He’s got problems with his cankles, and his own team finally admitted to circulatory concerns with the chronic venous insufficiency.
Especially the heaven checklist - I think Trump thinks his end is near.
My dad did that… very selfish person his whole life. Then all of a sudden, became very concerned about getting into heaven. He was gone about a month later. So I could totally be reading my own perspective into it.

When Trump said that I was immediately reminded of Bill Cosby - not because of the way they both raped women, but because of Cosby's bit about his parents trying to get into Heaven by being nice at the end of their lives.
My children love my mother, and I tell my children, that is not the same woman I grew up with...That is an old woman trying to get into heaven now.Edit: I got the above quote from an AI summary and regret using it. Here is the actual quote from the rapist's performance:
my children think that my mother is the most wonderful person on the face of the earth and I keep telling my children, that's not the same woman I grew up with. you are looking at an old person who's trying to get into heaven now.

This is a pretty long article, and it brings up a lot of interesting points about the state of Trump's health.
But what it completely ignores, and I didn't see anybody mention it in the comments (not that I looked that closely), is that the President of the United States is wearing on his own head a hat that says "Trump Was Right About Everything".
Yes, that man is wearing a hat that refers to himself in the third person on his head during an official Presidential press conference, and of all the things it could say it says "Trump Was Right About Everything". And look at this entire cabinet! They're acting like that is a completely non-lunatic thing for a head of state to do.

Trump won’t be around long enough to face charges in the Epstein scandal.
Trump worshiped his mentor, pill head and alleged pedo Rush Limbaugh.
It’s no wonder Rush Limbaugh’s story came to a tragic ending. Based on Trump’s obese appearance, signs of edema and dementia, he will likely suffer a similar fate.
Trump is a lot like Limbaugh who he admired. Limbaugh had a large base who feverishly listened to his radio show as he regularly spewed hatred like a toxic broken sewer.
Limbaugh died a slow, horrible death by cancer. Some say it was inevitable that the hatred he spewed helped his cancer grow until it ended his life much earlier than the age Donald Trump is today.
Like Trump, Limbaugh’s stock in trade was bigotry and offense.
Trump is following Limbaugh’s tactics as he successfully insulted his way into the White House in the most vile and profane ways imaginable.
Like Limbaugh’s listeners, Trump’s base loved it. The more Trump insults and belittles his opponents, the more they cheer him on.
Yet like Rush Limbaugh, no one escapes karma and it’s very obvious the poison in Trump’s tongue is also wreaking havoc on his mind while it seeps into his brain.
As Trump foolishly continues down the path of idiocy, bigotry and racism it’s very likely he too, is not long for this world.
Will he meet with the same fate as his hero, Rush?
Limbaugh’s lifeless carcass was discovered in his bathroom on a floor covered in his own shit at his home.
His body was rigid in the grip of rigor mortis.
His eyes were frozen open and his face had a look of fear.
His mouth was encrusted by flies and locked wide open as if he had been screaming in pain and horror for hours.
According to reports, hungry maggots were feasting on Limbaugh’s rancid tongue.

The best line in this article is the response which says orange guy is always shaking hands with so many people. The only people he shakes hands with are usually dictators or the super wealthy that are kissing his ass. If you look at any of his rallies or whatever you want to call them. His stage is set 30 to 50 ft away from the people. Regardless if he was president or not. This is not a guy that will go into the crowd like JFK would do when he got off the plane on stops or Obama or Clinton would do. Even George w. Bush was like that even though I think it was more of a show. But this guy is the least transparent and friendly to anybody he meets. He is not out there shaking hands.
