I dont think its a joke lol it seems to have been the actual opinion from a majority of people. Nothing substantive, nothing to do with her policies -- just woman bad, person of color bad, time to vote for the fascist.

I will never forget hearing a voter in the 2020 Democratic primary say he preferred Biden to Pete Buttigieg because "Buttigieg is too smart. He always makes his point perfectly and he never gets confused on stage. I like Biden. He gets confused sometimes and he misspeaks. That's more like me."

The guy literally wanted a less skilled speaker as president because he didn't identify with good speaking. This is how American voters think. My heart sank hearing that, and it has never recovered.

I remember the woman during the Iowa caucus who was prepared to vote for Buttigieg until she found out he’s gay.

Looking at the average American today how the hell did we have 2 terms of Obama?

It's that "would he (and it's always a he) be fun to have a beer with" stat that we just can't fucking get away from.

That’s actually a snapshot of how people think in general, and I’ve been told similar to my face more than once.

It’s the, “You make me feel dumb!” ethos.
