How any of them ever thought he would do anything besides FUCK THEM OVER is completely beyond me. He literally has laid out how he feels about Hispanic/Minority immigrants a thousand times.

Lifelong Texan here.

Latinos have always skewed conservative down here, and most have integrated frustratingly well with the worst parts of southern good-ol'-boy redneck Americana.

Yep. Latinos are my neighbors, my local small business owners, a lot of my friends growing up. I’ve been to their weddings, I’ve listened to their sermons. Expecting progressive liberal ideals from any of them is a misplaced expectation. All of them skew conservative, and many skew towards trad-wife bullshit, too.

Oh, it’s still running strong in my co-workers who are in their 30’s and 40’s.
