Because I’m not a bigot. The idea that a group of people has “dues” that need to be given based on the color of their skin or gender is racist. I’m not going to participate in racist activity because you want me to, sorry.

I’m proud of ALL people who stood up to Roy Moore. They are all courageous. I’m not going to marginalize other groups to pat the egos of black women or the white knights stepping in to pat themselves on the back for being so “progressive”.

Who says you're marginilizing others? You're not saying one group is better than the other when you acknowledge how amazing it is that a heavily disenfranchised group of people came out to vote despite all the roadblocks put in front of them and trust me there were many. Do you think compliments are insulting too?

This is almost 100% of black women voters who voted Jones in. How is that not worthy of acknowledgment?

Since it’s not 100%, that means that there are a few black women who.... gasp.....voted for Roy Moore.

Are you saying they should be celebrated as well?

Yes or no?

Think carefully how you answer.

If you answer yes they should all be celebrated, then you’re saying that the candidate wasn’t as important as the act of black women voting. In which case the victory itself loses the impact of “black women saving the day”. That is you’re marginalizing all the black women who voted against Moore by taking their victory away from them.

If you say no, then you’re advocating celebrating black women ONLY for voting a specific way, which destroys their individuality and personal choice. That is, you want to celebrate those who were whipped into voting a specific way and berate those who didn’t think the same way as you, which is fascist and in no way progressive. That is, you’re marginalizing the women who voted for Moore by saying they count less.

You’re identity politics has just put you in a corner where you are marginalizing black women by default. It’s sad.

I mean it disgusts me that any women in general would vote for that piece of shit. And sure that includes black women if that's what you wanted to hear.

Understood. And that’s an opinion you’re entitled to in this country. I respect your opinion.

So, to recap.... You acknowledge that you’re not really celebrating “black women” but rather “black women who voted the way I like”.

Hopefully now you can see why it’s difficult for me to do what you originally asked and “acknowledge and celebrate black women” when you, yourself, are not doing the same since you’re literally disgusted by black women who voted differently than you.

Glad we cleared this up.

I'm celebrating the fact that the majority of black women have been on the right side of history constantly.

And the fact that they're black and voted against what I want has nothing to do with my disgust.

I mean, which is it? You’re arguing and contradicting yourself at this point.

No judgment, but do you really know what you believe? Because to anyone reading it’s super unclear.

Their race has nothing to do with my disgust. The fact that they voted for a pedophile does.

And dems have different obstacles for voting than republicans do.
