I have several friends that live in this district. Several didn't know about the election, and only voted because me and my SO told them it mattered.

I'm glad we could help make this happen.

That is fucking wild that people didn't know about a gubernatorial election. You don't watch tv, read the paper, use the internet, etc, see yard signs, etc?

I honestly don't see how this happens when signs and adverts are everywhere, but it still happens. Here in AL there was amazingly people who didn't know about the election last week. Admittedly I tune the yard signs out but at least I make note that an election must be coming up.

As a general rule, imagine taking the other person out of the sentence (in this case "my SO").
