NEWS FDA Approves Updated Covid Vaccines With New Restrictions (Gift Article)

Ugh.

In a social media post, Mr. Kennedy said the approvals accomplished the goals of keeping vaccines available to people who want them and of demanding that companies conduct placebo-controlled trials. One new, required study would examine “post-Covid-19 vaccination syndrome” in patients, a condition that has been noted in at least one small preliminary medical report, but is still a matter of pitched debate.

As someone who works in clinical research, I can confirm that placebos are already being utilized as controls. This guy is a fucking idiot.

As someone who literally was in the vaccine trial and the placebo group — can confirm. Study was to go until minimum like 2024 or something like that, after we were unblinded in 2021 when the EUA went through. I dropped out because they were dragging on boosters for one of the variants and I didn't want to wait.
