Since the subreddit only has two spots available for public announcements, this will be a new index post for important PSAs for easy reference that we can sticky to only use up one spot.
You can also find the whole collection in the sidebar menu on the Reddit re-design when you open one of the PSA posts.
An important PSA on Easter rabbits.
Caring for rabbits while under COVID-19 quarantine
Since we are getting many repetitive questions about the novel coronavirus and how to care for rabbits while under quarantine, this is a post to combine all frequently asked questions on the topic.
North American RHDV2 resources
Rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD) is a highly contagious disease that mainly affects rabbits of the Oryctolagus cuniculus species but has also been confirmed to affect various species of cottontails (Sylvilagus spp.) and hares (Lepus spp.). There are currently active cases found in wild and domestics all over North America, and it is vitally important to get your rabbit vaccinated if the vaccines are available in your area.

I found a rabbit outside - what should I do?
This is the time of year for many people to find both domestic rabbits and wild rabbits outside due to Easter and baby season.

Strawberry? Mid Blueberries? Sure I guess if it's free. Raspberry? Leave it on the dish I'll get to it later.
Banana? I've been clawed and nipped while trying to deliver nanners.

dunno if anyone else's rabbit does this with them but for some reason, whenever i'm sitting or laying on the floor with her, she comes up to me and puts her head on me to ask for pets. and then she gets so relaxed, her head flattens into a pancake and she usually falls asleep ๐ญ

It's been a whole month without you now, and home still doesn't feel the same. I'll miss you forever
To anyone else going through grief right now, I'm so sorry. The best advice I can offer is to let yourself be sad, don't suppress it. Find the best way to honour your bun, whether it's a special urn or burial place. Frame a photo of them, or commission a drawing. Do what makes you feel best to honour them.
You'll never not miss them, but time makes it a little easier to think of them and smile as opposed to thinking about the way things ended

Back again with spicy phoebe. She is getting big. Another question about this. When shes on my bed if anyone moves a blanket or sheet on the bed She gets upset and then pushes people. Its hard to get mad because shes so cute but she legit is like slapping us. Lol
I feel like im failing as a bunny momma I want her to be happy and when she does stuff like this I feel like shes just not.
What does this mean?
Also shes not spayed yet my vet said to wait until shes close to a year. So we have an appointment for fall to reevaluate. Also my husband like rally moved the blankets ita even slightly when ypu move the blanket.
How can you tell if they are happy?

I have some questions about my little bunny.
Should I let her do this? (See video)
She doesn't mind if I pet her; she does it anyway and doesn't stop for minutes. I've heard that you should let her give you kisses, but after 10 minutes, they're painful.
How should I stop her?
When it starts to hurt, I try to pull my arm away, but she makes a small grunt and follow my arm. Basically she decides when she's done

Heebie aka Heebie Jeebie is home safely and going ham on the hay haha. She's a very brave and curious little girl, I'm so excited to get to know her. After the loss of my last bun Howard earlier this year, I'm grateful for a new love โค๏ธ

I've been looking at getting my bun a new castle/tower/hidey box setup and came across this: https://petomg.com/products/petomg-cat-house-cat-condo-wooden-cat-treecastle-style-rubberwood
The only thing that gives me pause is that it's made from rubberwood and I'm unsure if it would be safe for him. He's not a big wood chewer, but he does nibble on things and everything we've had up to this point has been pine.

All my previous rabbits were shelter rescues, so this is my first time going through a spay/neuter. It is being done by a rabbit-savvy vet who knows her stuff, but of course like every pet owner, I worry about the small risks.
Iโm also worried about the post-spay recovery. Lilith HATES being caged, she freaks out and hyperventilates when I had to shut her in her x-pen when I first got her. She chewed through the rug, mats, vinyl mat, and even chewed my vinyl flooring in attempts to get out. Itโs going to be a very heartbreaking week :(
