Suuuuper easy to make. Whisk key lime juice into sweetened condensed milk, pour into a graham cracker crust (use premade) and into the fridge.

I think my recipe has some egg yolks so it has to be cooked and cooked. So I use the whites to make meringue to top it. I like it much better than whipped cream for that type of pie.

None have ever been as good as my homemade ones. Juicing enough key limes is the hard part. The taste is subtle but different than regular Mexican limes.

Gussies you can buy whole homemade key lime pie for 20$ if you call ahead. I did this for a dinner party recently and it was a hit!! Highly recommend. They sell it by the slice so if you wanted to try before you buy you can

They do indeed do a key lime pie and it is hands down the most amazing key lime pie you will ever taste. This place is a hidden gem, and as a key lime pie snob, I can say their key lime pie has ruined all other key lime pies in the area for me!

IF you have an extra couple hours, so easy to DIY. Buy some Nellie & Joe's Key Lime Juice at most grocery stores and use their recipe on the bottle -- but try making the crust from scratch.

If you have oodles of extra time and patience, you can squeeze about 23 key limes yourself and look up the above recipe on the web. 😄

I'm not a big key lime pie fan but the one from that little shed in Wake Forest at the intersection next to that shop? She also sometimes has her wares in the Butcher Market in WF. That was a great lime pie, not too sweet and tart. I also had some kind of chess pie from her and it was great also. I'm sorry, I don't recall the name but I can look tomorrow.

Slice seems to only be sharing space with Sugar Euphoria right now, which is located across from Krispy Kreme downtown. Plus she sells minis from a cart at events in the Convention Center, concerts at Red Hat, and shows at Memorial Auditorium.

I just passed it, it's on Burlington and forestville. The game is 'Just in time treats'. They are currently closed, but that butcher's market behind the dairy depot in wake forest carries her wares and also other items.
