Food Non chain restaurants that serve breakfast (or breakfast items) during dinner?

Hello!
As someone who does not like a heavy breakfast, I want to know if there are any non chain restaurants that do breakfast dishes (omelettes/pancakes/croissanwiches etc) for dinner that you guys can recommend

Falls River Cafe in NE Raleigh is great! They serve Cuban/Dominican breakfast staples as well as American breakfast/diner. Highly recommend their Dominican ultimate breakfast. Very nice people and family friendly atmosphere too!

My husband is Puerto Rican and it’s hard to find good food back like in PR. Gotta give this place a shot thanks for the recommendation!

Finally tried it after so many people recommended it. I thought it was extremely overhyped.

Their breakfast/weekend menu is definitely overhyped, but I like their southern food during the week. Plus it comes with rolls and dessert.

I really like their food, prefer it to the state farmers market. Imo, most “southern” people (rural, 4H, ag) will find it to their liking but I would not take the brunch crowd there.

Barry’s cafe is 10/10. Awesome service too.

I think Gypsy's and their branch diners serve breakfast all day.

Not past mid afternoon though, unfortunately.

Edit - I forgot the Shiny Diner!

Sean's Shack, though their "latin inspired" breakfast stops at 2pm and that's the real winner there.

Hartura in Wake Forest does breakfast all day. Dominican spot too and good if you're in the area.

Simply Crepes might be a good option

All day is a stretch. They aren’t open for dinner.

Seconded Brigs. Triangle staple and excellent pancakes. Very homey feel.

That would be what’s considered a “chain restaurant”

I generally interpret the phrase "chain restaurant" in this context to mean a national chain, not a local chain.

that's reaching. if it's local with a handful of locations and all locally then it's not some big chain

Metro Diner has breakfast food in the evenings.

You're not wrong, but Metro Diner is a chain restaurant.

True, but at least there’s not one on every corner.

Ive noticed lately that people in Raleigh dont know the difference between franchise, chain, and a number of other business terms... so when you say chain, what is the definition you are using?

Just ate at Oakwood deli. Ate lunch and it was nice but they’ve got breakfast all day.

Depending on how you define a chain, I think Flying Biscuit might qualify.

I love flying biscuit, but sadly they aren’t open for dinner

The one in Village District is open till 9pm, I'm pretty sure. We were just there a couple of weeks ago around 6:30pm. Maybe different locations have different hours?

3

u/Annie-Moose 4d ago

Oh, apparently the hours listed when you pull them up on Apple Maps is wrong, the actual website for the village one says 9. Good to know, thanks!

Okay good! I was so confused LOL

That’s a shame. We used to go there for dinner a long time ago.

I mean it’s a national chain

2

u/Busy-Negotiation1078 4d ago

It's in the south. I personally wouldn't consider that a national chain, but that's why I qualified my suggestion. When I think chain restaurant, I'm thinking of McDonalds.

Closes at 4 pm sadly
