Methadone & suboxone
I was on 10mg methadone. They wanted me to take 8 mg subs and work me up higher!???
I only took 4 and got way too high- nodding & itching.
I'm now on 3mg and barely feel it.
Is it wise to go back on methadone and taper down? I've only taken suboxone for 5 days time... I want out of copies! I'm in rehab right now too..
From what I'm reading the sub dose is waaay higher than the methadone dose?
Will I even find relief in my methadone dose again?
I have so many questions

Yes. Way to high.
U'm not sure the conversion, but know it's not almost mg to mg.
Ex: some people are on 100mg methadone while have been on 16mg suboxone.
I know for you, you could get away with 2mg sub. Maybe even 1, if you want off like you say.

I just know from years of experience in addiction medicine that Suboxone is much easier to taper patients off of than methadone. In 10 years, I’ve one had 2 patients successfully taper off of methadone, then onto Suboxone, then I tapered them off the Bup. Idk where all this info is coming from. Methadone is toxic. I and all my colleagues do not prescribe methadone at all in our very successful addiction medicine clinic in Colorado.

You don’t feel subs after a few days ,,,, period only when you don’t have them

yeah.. they are so stupid and I'm always hearing about how off the dosing is with these doctors. 8mg suboxone is like 70mg methadone
