Movies/tv during recovery

Anybody watch a movies or a series again AFTER you got sober and it’s like watching it for the first time. I’m finding that out more and more since I quit drinking. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience

Basically every film I saw in the last 20 years is like a new experience. Sucks when I rewatch a “favorite” and it doesn’t hit the same. Overall it’s very exciting though.

This is an interesting factoid for me. I think the only TV show I saw while intoxicated was the Friends debut in the fall of 1996. On mushrooms. Super colorful!

Kinda like sex. Maybe did it once or twice on marijuana.

I'm just very active and don't watch much TV/movies. I saw a bunch of movies on HBO and Showtime when cable came out and enjoyed watching a bunch of them on DVD this last 15 years. Movies are amazing! I'm all wrapped up in work now and write some book reports. I guess my English teacher was right. They are cool!
