Still not sure why we’re taking the platinum glove centerfielder out of center to get NATE EATON in the lineup

It’s not to get Eaton in.

The choices were (1) This lineup. (Or some variation with Roman in the field or DHing) (2) Lowe at first, Romy at second, CR at cf. (3) Hamilton at second, Romy or Lowe at 1st, CR in CF.

As Lowe and Hamilton are LHH, they want to platoon RHHs against Rondon.

I don’t think you can get CR in CF without an extra lefty vs Rondon right now.

I feel like they could just put Eaton at 2nd

He's never played 2B at the major league level. He has 118 innings at 2B in the minors over the last 6 years. He's not a second baseman.

Neither is Ceddanne. Eaton has 351 innings at 2b in the minors in the past 6 years, not sure where you got 118. Ceddanne has 399 total innings at 2b at all levels but a lot more outfield experience than Eaton.

He has 351 innings the minors total, but 240 of those are in rookie ball and A in 2018 and April of 2019, which I'd say was more than 6 years ago. I really should have said 111, as I mistakenly counted 1 game he played in the Dominical Winter League.

Rafaela has major league experience at 2nd. He also has a ton more experience at SS, where the skills are most transferrable, which Eaton has very little of. I'd like to have Rafaela in center, but not at the expense of playing players at positions they have almost no experience at.
