Midora is one of the three adopted sons of Acacia and Froese - the Gods of Cooking - and is one of Acacia's three Disciples; known as the three strongest men in the world.

Midora was a major antagonist over the Human World Saga of the Toriko Series, but after discovering that his adoptive father and mentor, Acacia, is evil he has joined the protagonists side in order to kill Acacia and avenge the death of his adoptive mother, Froese.

  • In the official volumes, Ichiryu's final attack is larger and has enough power to shoot into space.
  • Ichiryu is confirmed by a character later in the series to have the power to destroy the Earth.

• [Cutting] No-sells a sword attack from Zaus, breaking the sword in the process.

• [Endurance] No-sells Joie's surprise attack.

• [Piercing] Takes a Joie's Satan Hole attack (which shoots into space) to the face without any damage.

  • This attack was possibly diverted by Midora's Gourmet Luck but it is unstated if that is the case.

• [Cutting] Is only lightly cut by Joie's planetary-cutting slices, and quickly heals over the damage.

• [Melting] No-sells the powerful digestive juices that Joie spits all over him.

• [Energy] No-sells Joie's Satan Bomb explosions.

• [Energy] Takes a large Gourmet Hand attack from Acacia that squashes him into the ground but leaves no permanent damage.

• Regenerates a significant portion of his head.

• Regenerates the top half of his head after it is sliced off.

• Regenerates after being partially melted and cut into multiple pieces.

• Regenerates after being stabbed in the chest; possibly through the heart.

Hungry Tongue

Midora can manipulate and multiply his tongue at will for a variety of attacks. Midora consumes everything his tongue touches, leaving a vacuum trail behind it.

• Instantly consumes three Gourmet World creatures by spearing them with his Hungry Tongue.

• Spears his tongue through the floating island he is fighting Ichiryu on.

• Tears a large hole into a mountain by flexing his tongue.

• Blasts a large hole straight through Ichiryu's torso.

• Blasts an enormous hole through the NEO Headquarters, with enough strength to continue blasting through the plateau it is built within.

• Saves Starjun and Toriko by grabbing ahold of them with is tongue and yanking them out of Acacia’s attack.

• Grabs Acacia by the ankle, tripping him up and pulling him to the ground.

Barbed Tongue

• Splits his tongue multiple times and changes its shape to cover it in spikes and barbs.

Tongue Shield

• Blocks Ichiryu's chopstick attack with his tongue, and devours it.

Mountain Tongue

• Enlarges his tongue massively smashing through several of Ichiryu's attacks and hitting the ground.

Machine Gun Tongue

• Multiplies his tongue several times and shoots it rapidly towards Ichiryu.

  • Misses due to the effects of Minority World.

• Multiples his tongue several times and shoots it rapidly at Joie.

  • Misses due to the effects of Gourmet Luck.

Hungry Whip

• Enlarges and extends his tongue massively; unleashing a strike that devastates a large area of the planet.

• Multiples his tongue several times over to unleash multiple strikes that devastate a huge area of the planet.

Appetite Energy

Hungry Space

Within the vacuum left behind by his Hungry Tongue, Midora creates an invisible Appetite Energy attack known as Hungry Space. Like his tongue, it devours everything on an atomic level.

It is nigh-impossible to detect this technique which 'remembers' the taste of any creature it consumes in order to attack it again, and it is immune to atomic manipulation since it is an empty void.

• Devours Ichiryu's attack and portions of his arm by activating Hungry Space.

• Devours several Gourmet World creatures by proximity.

• Devours several portions of Ichiryu's body, with rapid speed.

• Casually one-shots Zaus, Joejoe and Kosairo with blasts of Hungry Space each.

• Destroys Acacia's countless numbers of Appetite Energy attacks across the entire planet at once.

• Wraps Acacia in a net of Hungry Space to attack him.

  • Acacia survives due to his durability, regeneration and brute-forcing his way through the attack.

Meteor Spice

A countless number of Appetite Energy beams fired from the mouth of his Appetite Demon which manifests itself in his aura. The beams of Appetite Energy can rain down on a target like *spice on a meal and have enough range to reach across the entire planet.*

• Fires a roar of Appetite Energy with enough range to reach the whole of Human World from Gourmet World. Each spice creates a massive explosion when it hits the ground.

• Fires a smaller version of Meteor Spice within the NEO Headquarters.

Meteor Burst

A focused beam of Appetite Energy fired from his mouth.

• Fires a blast of Meteor Burst at point-blank range, with enough force to send Acacia into space before it can be deflected.

Hungry Bomb

An energy attack fired him his mouth.

• Fires a blast out of his mouth at point-blank range to Acacia, but it is devoured before it can fully detonate.

Meteor Laser

A more destructive, and larger-scale version of his *Meteor Spice. Midora fires countless lasers from the mouth of his Appetite Demon.*

• Destroys Acacia’s enormous Gourmet Hand attack which is many times larger than the Earth; with many of the lasers continuing onward into space.

Mirror Neurons

Camouflage / Invisibility

Midora's cells are able to perfectly mimic the appearance of the surrounding area, camouflaging himself and for all intents making it appear as though he has disappeared. He often uses this ability to sneak up on people for a surprise attack.

• Fades away into the darkness and attacks Ichiryu from behind.

• Attacks Zaus, Joejoe, and Kosairo without them realizing he is behind them.

• Appears in front of Acacia, Joie and Starjun before they realize he is there.

Ability Copying

Midora's *Mirror Neurons are capable of copying the abilities of people he observes and twice in the series he has copied his opponents techniques whilst fighting them.*

Starjun states that Midora is capable of copying any, and all, abilities this way.

• Copies Ichiryu's signature ability Minority World over the course of the fight, mastering it by the time the battle is finished.

• Copies Joie's Gourmet Luck after being sealed inside of the Golden Can by him.

Minority World

An ability copied from Ichiryu.

It is a type of atomic manipulation that controls a small minority of atoms that do not follow the normal physical laws. These atoms can disobey gravity, reverse properties, etc. Ichiryu used it for a vast variety of effects, but Midora's full usage has not been shown yet.

• Controls the atoms within himself, preventing Ichiryu from using Minority World on him.

• Resurrects an extinct species of plant using Minority World.

• Seemingly destroys Joie on an atomic level.

  • Joie is able to survive due to Gourmet Luck.

• Reflects Acacia's Gourmet Punch technique back at him.

• Starts to destroy Joie on an atomic level once again.

  • Joie once again survives because Acacia applies Damage Knocking to Joie to stop the damage Midora dealt.

• Slows and dulls Acacia’s movements to prevent him attacking Starjun, and leave him vulnerable to counter-attack.

Gourmet Luck

An ability copied from Joie.

Gourmet Luck appears to manipulate probability. Midora has made use of it both offensively and defensively.

• Escapes from being sealed in the supposedly invulnerable and inescapable Golden Can after mimicking Gourmet Luck.

• Redirects Acacia's Gourmet Spank technique.

• Redirects Joie's Air Slice technique.

• Manipulates probability so that Toriko appears and saves Midora from a sneak-attack by Acacia.

• Saves himself from Acacia’s Gourmet Buffet attack by defending himself with Gourmet Luck.

• Hits Acacia in the face with Gourmet Luck.

  • Acacia devours the Gourmet Luck out of existence before it can do much harm.

Knocking

Knocking is a skill that can be applied via tools or direct physical contact. Midora’s skill with Knocking is mostly unknown, but he has been seen to use it to keep an ally alive near-death.

• Applies Knocking to Starjun after he lost half his body to keep Starjun alive on the verge of death.

Miscellaneous Feats

• Since Midora possesses Gourmet Cells, he should possess the default abilities such as evolution, poison resistance, gravity adaptation, etc.

• Midora has lived for over five hundred years without significantly ageing unlike his brothers, Ichiryu and Jiro.

• Like Ichiryu, his presence can create a Gravitational Pull like a planet.

• Toriko states that Midora could destroy the planet if he felt like it.

• Joie states that Midora, like the other two Disciples of Acacia, has the power to destroy the Earth but is the only one 'petty' enough to actually do so.

• Joie states it would not be exaggeration to call Midora 'invincible'.

• Since Midora has consumed most of the Earth's Full Course including NEWS then he should be able to create Back Channels to manipulate space-time, and he should be able to transform his body into that of his Appetite Demon.

I would suggest you throw this one in to show the actual explosion from the punch then.

Maybe that feat where he stops the bishokukai base from falling with minority world too.

That's strange, I could have sworn that picture was already in the album. Must have accidentally deleted it.

That feat's not very categorical or quantifiable as it is never stated what actually allowed him to do so, whether that be intimidation, Minority World, food pressure, etc.

Actually it is. Everytime he uses minority world there are little black dots on the page. He also healed Torikos wounds using it.

Well, yes, it would definitely indicate / suggest that Minority World is being used but it is never directly stated nor is it ever brought up again.

Plus the feat isn't even that useful for a respect threads because it doesn't show any combat applications.

EDIT: I will add the feat of him restoring Toriko's stamina though.
