comics Respect Butterball (Marvel, 616)

Respect Butterball

I don't get it. Costumes are awesome. Super heroes are awesome. Why would you want to wear normal clothes and be a regular person when you can be a super hero?

Emery Schaub couldn't have been more excited about becoming a superhero. After gaining the power of complete invulnerability, permanently locking his body in the same state, Emery tried to name himself The Boulder on his way to superhero training camp.

Taskmaster had a different idea, naming him Butterball. It was discovered that the tubby and klutzy Emery had below-average strength despite his boundless stamina, and he was largely dismissed from serving any critical role from then on out. While he became a poster boy for superhuman registration and served in an unknown capacity on the Shadow Initiative, Butterball has hung around the background of young teams for years now.

Note: Despite almost two dozen appearances, Butterball's actual feats are almost entirely from Avengers Initiative #13 & 27, although feats from Avengers Academy #24 and Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #6 are also listed.

The only thing I could think of that could kill him is if you had time manipulation powers you could just fast forward his clock until he died.
