Respect Superman

Growing up in a world like ours where super heroes only exist in pop culture and everyone knows who Superman is from comics, movies, toys and so on. The story follows a boy from a small town in Kansas named Clark Kent (whose parents thought it would be neat to name him after Superman) throughout his life. As a bullied teen who one day woke up and discovered he had somehow gained the same powers as Superman. To his adulthood moving to New York and getting job working for the New Yorker. All while having the Government trying to capture him. To his marriage and eventual parenthood.

Feats:

Strength:

• As a teen, easily stacks multiple vehicles on top of one another.
• Prevents a airbus jet from crashing down.
• Able to pull a battleship.
• Breaks apart walls and various machines.
• Tunneled through a hollow tree to the ocean.
• Older/weaker Clark lifts a giant boulder with one hand. Claims he lifted 10 at once five years prior.
• Older/weaker Clark catches a bullet train with a 82% passenger load going off the rails at just over the speed of sound. His daughters helped to prevent whiplash and take some cars off just in case it didn't stay in arc. Claims he could have done it himself but it would have been a lot trickier and that 10 years ago he could have done it himself with no problems at all.

Speed:

• As a teen, flies fast enough to create a sonic boom.
• As a teen, saved multiple people from a explosion fast enough that if someone saw him all they would see was a blur.
• Quickly travels from New York to a different part of the US.
• Flies faster than fighter jets while limiting himself to toy with them.
• Flies from earth to space in a instant. Went so fast that the trackers saw it as has him just vanishing.
• Travels from New York to North Carolina before he could finish his sentence.
• Older/Weaker Clark traveled from earth to the sun.
• Swaps nuclear missiles from a navy carrier in the Pacific to a carrier in the Atlantic without anyone noticing him.
• Blitz's a terrorist group with no one noticing him.
• Was going to create a counter cyclone to take apart a tornado before his daughters handled it.

Powers:

• [Heat Vision]Destroys a secret government facility.
• [Heat Vision] Takes out every camera, microphone, recording device and satellite.
• [Heat Vision] Fuses soldiers ammo in Africa from orbit.
• [Super Hearing] While in space hes able to hear everything on earth. From people in danger, hyper-sonic government signals, traffic emergency channels, weather patterns.
• [Telescopic Vision] Older/Weaker Clark still able to see all the way to Jupiter.
• [X-Ray & Telescopic Vision] Scans the entire Pentagon for classified information.

Durability:

• Assault rifle fire has no effect.
• Takes rocket launcher blasts.
• Being close to the sun only gives him a tan. *In this version the sun is not the source of his powers and doesn't have the same effect on him as other versions.

Weakness:

• Some kind of special electrical weapon made by the government can hurt him.
• Needles can pierce his skin to draw blood.
• While getting older his powers started to decline.

Didn't you read the summary? The story is about a normal person in a normal world who gains superpowers, it's not regular Superman.
