The year is 1946, a Chinese-American family, named the Lees, move to Metropolis, but find themselves threatened by the local Ku Klux Klan. The children, Tommy and Roberta, find themselves especially threatened while new friends like Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane and Inspector Henderson try to help and are then similarly targeted. Meanwhile, Superman's own efforts to assist the children are complicated by disturbing visions that prove linked to his own self-doubts and confusion about his own self-identity.

• Implies he should hear someone drowning in a river despite the kids not being able to

• Has X-ray vision

• Could hear his parents whispering through a closed window ^kid

• Hears the muffled voices of three gagged people upstairs

• Hears every clock in a building

Flight

• Hovers in the air ^kid

• Used a suppressed version of it to soften his landings when he jumped long distances

• Flies Matt high into the air

Heat Vision

• Shoots heat vision to scare away some bullies ^kid

• Used to keep Matt from shooting some kids

Freeze Breath

• Freezes some dynamite

He was an escaped Nazi who got his hands on a robot suit and decided to get revenge on America for winning the war. btw this was a great read it’s a very heartwarming little story that manages to show racism in both a bombastic and exaggerated way but still in a realistic and sometimes disturbing way
