Question People who live like rockstars, but are not musicians?

Rock and roll is not just about music, it's a way of life. 😎 Any non-musician rock stars you can think of?

I was definitely going to say the whole Jackass crew.

True. Reminds me of the time Mick Jagger famously gave himself a titty twister with a baby alligator during the Some Girls sessions. This actually made it onto the album as the falsetto motif throughout "Miss You." Brilliant, innovative work from the Stones

John Daly

The funny thing is that John Daly is a musician. It sounds laughable but the funny thing is, he’s good. Like really f*cking good! Has a beautiful singing voice and everything. Search it on YouTube. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Probably won't be long until we see an AI rock band with Macho Man, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and The Undertaker performing a Limp Bizkit song.

Omg...

Hulk: Alright brother, Keep On Brotherin' brother

Comedians and John Daly, the most talented golfer ever who lost $50+ million gambling and would drink till 7am before a 8am tee time in a tournament.

Edit: John Daly’s videos on YouTube are legendary.

He was in a band called Rock City Angels before his acting career took off. They had a great album after he left called “Young Man’s Blues “.

I know a guy who was fairly high up in the Veteran's Administration (he took a buy out, post DOGE), who lived like a rock star. Sex, drugs, parties, etc.

From what I've read, Sid Vicious. Although to be fair I also read that he also improved with time. I just wanted to give a joke answer is all.

2

u/ShyDJ69 1d ago

Ha, Sid was definitely not a musician

Did you read the title of this post?

u/Chemistry11 2d ago

Yep. And they nailed it. Sid Vicious led the rockstar life but is notoriously known to not know how to play his bass

u/dingus_enthusiastic 2d ago

Yes, I did. Did you read the bit where I said I was making a joke?

Many 80s athletes. The first that come to mind for me are Lawrence Taylor, and many of the 86 Mets, most notably Dwight Gooden and Daryl Strawberry.

Considering the picture, the question should be "Rockstars who live like Steve-O, but are not Steve-O"

There aren't many...

Did you see Wolf of Wall Street?

There are also guys in the high-end sports car import business who live like rock stars.

George Best, a footballer from the 60s. Best encapsulated by the quote “I spent a lot of money on booze, birds, and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.”

Was a legend in his day - Errol Flynn. The man whose reputation was "In like Flynn!".

I hate this man and I can't wait until I get to hear the bullshit coming out of his mouth

Hunter S Thompson would put Keith Richards to shame

once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

I would argue that Kid Rock isn't really a musician. He's kinda just a karaoke guy that steals music clips from everyone else.

You can not like her music all you want, but she has genuine musical chops.
