Can someone explain why NZ and SA trying to reduce the importance of the Championship?

Right now we are looking at the strongest comp we've seen possibly ever seen in the south? This decision is looking more and more stupid every week.

As an Australian you probably shouldn’t be sneering as if from a position of success and authority on what draws money in rugby. As a country you clearly wouldn’t have a fucking clue. I wouldn’t take the opinion of an Australia on what would be commercially successful in rugby if it popped out of Margot Robbie’s top.

“Oh yeah mate what you need is a 10 team finals system in an 11 team comp maaaaate. It increasing the sense of ‘anything can happen’. People will love it maaaate. You wouldn’t know maaaate. NRL do it like this maaaate. Huge money!”

With your infantile, unsophisticated views on what draws eyeballs in sport (eyeballs of people who aren’t dribblers)
