Back to the Dave Rennie era scheduled problems

Schmidt has been so lucky compared to rennie and deans, no international teams have ever been close to that dessimated. I remember at one point 15 of the first choice 23, plus some back ups, were injured at one time under deans. And rennie suffered similar issues

wallaby fullbacks usually have the worst injuries, Wright, ACL, Petaia, dislocated left shoulder, Kellaway, Foot Fracture, Tom Banks, broken left arm, Folau, Homophobiatis, Jesse Mogg, fractured Right Tibia, Dane Haylett-Petty, head injury and concussion......its not a safe position to play in Green and Gold..

Homophobiatis

😂 Truly a sad and shameful disease to catch. Would be great to see a full recovery, but I fear his condition is chronic and incurable.

took him in the prime of his life....#SoSad

Very sad, he was in immense form. Don’t think Kellaway is the answer at 15 nor Sua’ali’i at test level due to the lack of the latter’s ability to kick out of his hand - if he improves this though, he could become an excellent 15. Interested to see what direction Joe Schmidt goes in.

Jorgo to 15 is the answer.

That’s his natural position, and where he had been playing at the Tahs until Suali arrived.

Ben Donaldson? Is he injured as well?

Currently injured yes. Could be an option.

People keep saying JAS can’t kick but he definitely can, I’ve seen him do it.

Sualii’s a serviceable punter. Would 100% play him at fullback.

Any idea on the form of Tom Banks?

I know it's been a while since we've seen him in the Gold, but I was always a fan of him (and his speed)

Such a shame. He was great to watch last week and Aus are plagued with injuries.

Not surprising news tho, commenters in the match thread called it.

I'm so disappointed to not see him play more of this championship. Why the fuck did the guy twist his leg like that ?

That was so uncalled for. Twisting a man leg like that. While already inside a ruck pile with nowhere to go. What’s the logical reason of doing this on field while offside of the ruck ? All it’s doing is making viewers think it’s malicious and tarnish SA rugby brand.

They've done this since time started... its how they play.

It looked unnecessary for sure.

Yeah, looked dodgy and dangerous

Leg crank like he’s trying to get banned from his Brazilian jujitsu gym

Hi, bokks, its what they do. I said it looked like they were doing it whilst the game was on, so many unsafe and weird plays. Knew they'd lose.

Because the Springboks are a real fucking dirty team nowadays

u/WaterPretty8066 20h ago

Let's call it how it is. Theres absolutely no need for the Boks player to be holding onto his leg for that long..its very dodgy. If the shoe was on the other foot

Get him to take a break until Wright recovers. I said the same about the thug who injured Tupaea, who incidentally still isn‘t back to where he was before that injury.

And to rub salt in, Wright was penalised for not releasing.

Ah fuck that sucks. He was in great form and leading their counterattacking well.

ACL injuries are the worse (after head/ brain injuries... obviously)

So many top players disappear for about a year of what is already a short career, and often, they never come back to their best.

u/PortGenz 12h ago

Fingers crossed for him and you guys. As an ABs fan, Cruden, Mackenzie and Laumape are examples for us of guys who have done their ACL and still come back really strong in recent(ish) years. Tupaea as well, although he’s still in the process of reaching his peak I believe

Kolbe's tackle on JOC was pretty knackery too, looked very deliberate

Lot of people saying it was a hip drop.

Thanks for everything Bok. They love a good dangerous tackle.
