Working on getting to a 3 mile run under 30 minutes. 2 months ago I couldn't run a mile without stopping.

Excited to volunteer Philly 10K! On my bucket list to run it some day if I ever have that kind of money.

Thanks for getting up early to volunteer!! Is it a very expensive race? Sounds like a fun race course around South St.

Thanks for volunteering! And thanks for the great idea! I'm in the same boat. I didn't know that races could get so expensive when I started with Disney in mind lol

Second week of running, planning to run 10 km in about 2 months. Today I did 7 km (4.35 miles) in 45 minutes. At the moment, my breathing is the biggest bottleneck.

Today's a rest day for me. I'm still getting my step count up, but no running.

Tomorrow's gonna be this week's long run and Sunday's a base run.

After this easy week, next one's gonna be a bit of a ramp up with several thresholds.

Ran 7 miles today, then did my crossing guard training.

Going to the beach tomorrow, my happy place

Are the beaches OK where you are? My state’s were all closed the last few days because of ocean conditions with the storm.

We can go to the beach but not swim.

Pulled my hamstring 12 days ago doing yoga. Felt a pop and developed a bruise on my outer thigh. Rested about a week and a half of no running and pain was gone, so decided to test it out today. Felt soreness about 2 minutes in and took it easy the rest of the way. Now probably at least another few days of no running before I test it again :(

Ow! That sounds like no fun. Do you have a PT you can call for another opinion if it doesn’t start acting right soon? Hamstrings are annoying.

That's probably my next step if it doesn't start to get better in the next week or so. I can walk on it just fine with no pain but running seems to irritate it still. Hopefully it's just a mild strain.

Completed the garmin 10k plan with a time goal of 55 min. Ended at 56:30. A bit disappointed but noticed some areas I could improve on.

Weekly mileage was on the low end, roughly around 15 miles. Mainly felt my endurance wasn’t there on race day. My two longest runs were 6 and 6.5 miles and that was early on in the training plan. No fault on plan but mainly family obligations having to cut runs short.

That's a phenomenal time. I'm sorry you don't see it that way but you should be really proud. You are putting in the effort it takes to eventually get to a 50-minute 10k, then a 45-minute one and so on. You're another step closer!
