Hey there! Im brand new to this group, but have been reading SAGA since I was probably in 7th grade lol (Iām 21). My mom got me into it after she got the first three volumes and I asked to read them.
All I can say is 1. I am SO happy to have actually found a space where I can express my adoration for this series with other people because almost no one in my life knows about this series. 2. I am so in awe of this entire series. Iām sure you all are too since youāre in here lol, but I genuinely canāt express just how much I love this comic. Itās genuinely changed the way I look at things in my life, and Iām confident in saying itās m favorite continuous story Iāve ever had the privilege of reading. Itās consistently welp written, the art is absolutely insane, the characters are so fleshed out, and just⦠UGH I love it. I wish there were better words to describe how much love and adoration I have for this series lol but I donāt think there are better words.
Anyways thank you for listening to my love letter to SAGA! ;)

So first of all, Hey. I'm new to the fandom so I don't know if this is a touchy subject at all, but this doesn't have to do with anything whowouldwin related or trying to powerscale anyone... but I recently did what I do a lot with this series which was a) remember about it, b) reread every book I own physically and digitally and c) spend an inordinate amount of money getting caught up. I've hit all the trades available in the amazon shop and kind of love where the story has gotten in the last 7-8 years, but did wind up with a pretty big question - how strong are people supposed to be and how much of it has to do deal with their species or race?
In the very first trade we have Robo punching an inmate so hard it breaks the concrete wall behind him, and the will likewise just cracks a dude's head into raspberry jam with just his bare hands. On the flip side Alana (and maybe the wings in general) seem to be much physically weaker than other main characters which... yeah fine.... but I have no idea how rough and tumble Marko is supposed to be or what the hell is going on with The Will who... I mean has what appears to be a wreth armor cape, but as far as I know falls firmly under the category of "just a dude".
Has anything been said unofficially about character's physical strength and what we can assume from others in their weight class/race/species?

Hey everyone,
Iām currently caught up with Saga (just read the latest issue), but I always run into the same problem: the long waits between releases make me forget what happened in the last few chapters. By the time a new issue comes out, I can only vaguely remember the main beats and donāt really have the time to go back and reread every issue.
I usually just skim a couple of older chapters, but it still feels like Iām missing a lot of context. For those of you whoāve been following Saga long-term, whatās your best way of keeping track of the story? Do you reread arcs, keep notes, follow recaps on Reddit/wikis, or something else?
Would love to hear how you all handle it.

Aren't all of the issues in this book already released? Does it really take that long to work out production?

Forgive me, but I'm a new-ish comics reader. I binged all 12 volumes of Saga. I know about the hiatus it had and its irregular publishing schedule. Has anything been announced on when it'll resume? How do people follow the publishing schedule since it is so irregular? Thanks!

If you havenāt seen it then watch and you shall see my vision lol
EDIT: Sorry Iām not active on the sub wasnāt aware people donāt even want it to be live action. Was just watching scavengers reign and thought if any studio would do it justice it would be them!

Hi, friends! Itās been about half a year since I finished reading Saga up to the current issue. I canāt seem to find anything that hits me in the same way emotionally. What comic would you recommend me to read?
UPD: Yo thanks a lot for each of you! so many comic i must read now <3

Bought Vol.12 recently, but I forget everything so rereading the whole thing (and I indeed did not remember a whole lot). As it's my second time, and know there are way more depressing moments down the line, and you know from the get go, he will disappear, I was surprised how hard the final sequence with Hazel and imaginary Kurti made me choke up. Man, I love this comic!

The first half of saga was one of my favorite comics of all time and then it dropped off HARD with the fidget spinner references and absolute off the rails plotting plus 200 new side characters. Do fans think it turned it around?

Just got the third book from amazon, but it looks like some of the ink has beaded and formed weird patterns. Is this worth getting replaced do you think? If its a known issue then I probably won't risk getting sent another defective one

I've been reading for years at this point. But the conflict between the two parties is something that I felt dominated the background but that was not super clear to me.
I understand the wing people are allied with the tv people, and the horn people are on their own.
Can someone explain the conflict in more detail?

I can almost hear Beavis and Butthead. "Heh-heh-heh, penis, Heh-heh-heh, anal sex, Heh-heh-heh, blowjob"
I don't mind porn, don't mind nudity, don't mind sex scenes... I'm just not a fan of shoehorning it into something for shock value or to seem edgy. Turning the page and seeing a big penis just for shits and giggles is not my cup of tea. If it is important to the plot, fine. If it is there just because, I question the motive.
I'm sure lots of people have the opposite take. I'm also sure 12 year old me would have found it exciting.
But as is, I find that it pulls me right out of the story.
Does it chill out over time? Or is this just what it is all the way through?

Been a fan for a decade, but I havenāt reread the entire series in many years.
My little girl is almost 8 months old & Iāve been wanting to do a full compendium read for a while now.
Just a few pages in & Iām already tearing up. What a beautiful tale of family & survival, war & casualties, hate & love.
Itās always been my absolute favorite story. I canāt wait to immerse myself in this world again & watch Hazel grow up alongside my little one š
(Also on the look out for what my long awaited Saga tattoo should be for when Iām done breastfeeding!)
Thanks for reading ā„ļø I donāt have a lot of people in my life who love Saga & I just had to share!

Hello, Iām extremely late to the party and just found Saga. I just read the volume with the events of Sir Robot and Marko.
I was quite stunned.
My question is for the readers who have been following this for years, do you recommend continuing? I understand finishing the story, but more asking about the quality after they are gone. Does this event stagnant the rest of the story or were you pleasantly surprised as you went?
Just curious your thoughts after all these years if youāve been a fan since day one.
Hard to believe I just stumbled upon Saga.
Thanks.

Saw a picture in another sub that got me thinking about this: is there another species combos besides the Wings and Horns you would want to see?

I hear itās amazing! Looking forward to finishing
