I'm generally knew to this type of music so I would like to be educated on the terms since I see people throwing out the words skramz and emoviolence, when referring to, what I know as, screamo. Is there an actual difference between the terms, such as sub-genres within screamo, or is it just the name that makes it different? Thanks!

its also about the internalized capitalism we carry within us and the urgency of having to do more and more cause it never feels like enough in the grand scope of things. which leave us ultimately tired, incapable or disabled.

I’d record directly into my computer when making music because I live in a large city, but I’m having a hard time finding the right tone. Anyone have a good recommendation. I use guitar rig mostly but open to trying something new.

Does anyone have a video tutorial I could watch on how to do screamo vocals? Cuz recently I’ve been trying to do some covers. But I don’t wanna hurt myself trying to sing like them. Or can somebody name me the technique they use for me to practice it?

A one person bedroom screamo project from the Bay area has set out to further experiment with a genre that knows no guidelines or limits.

really love them, and i’m curious how their set at new friends fest was received. i feel so proud that in the past couple of years amazing asian screamo bands like piri reis and naedr have been able to step outside of asia and reach further places.
