5'11, 170 lbs here probably a bit more advanced than you, and I skied both lengths of the Serpos a couple of weeks ago. I found both very skiable. Definitely more control at high speed on the 180s, but at the cost of some agility in bumps (or maybe I was just more tired as I skied the 180s second!). I think you can't go wrong.

Yeah I demoed the two Serpos, the new Atris (105s now, and they handled okay once the powder was gone), and some Stockli Stormrider 88s. I skied the Serpos in the most environments, including a day with about 5" of snow and some skied off days. It was fun in all conditions, though obviously not as floaty as the Atris were on a similar amount of powder.

Of those skis they're the ones I'd be most likely to buy first simply because they're the most versatile. While I was on them I missed the Atris a lot more in the powder more than I missed the Stocklis carving groomers, but I also didn't ski any truly icy conditions.
