Megathread [Feb 24, 2023] Weekly Discussion: Ask your gear, travel, conditions and other ski-related questions

Welcome! This is the place to ask your skiing questions! You can also search for previously asked questions or use one of our resources covered below.

Use this thread for simple questions that aren't necessarily worthy of their own thread -- quick conditions update? Basic gear question? Got some new gear stoke?

If you want to search the sub you can use a Google's Subreddit Specific search

Search previous threads here.

I'm neither a qualified instructor, nor do I have experience with any of your skis, but I am fairly confident in my mogul skiing - so here goes:

For me, comfort is the number one thing requirement in moguls. I feel my mogul skiing is best on my FIS GS skis, but I attribute that to them being the skis I live on - they're my living room, they give me comfort. Use what you have to think the least with.

When you're on a ski that is part of you: keep your weight centered, absorb the bumps upwards, plan your turns ahead, knees together and don't panic.
