Skis are diffuser to choose

I just recently bought the Rossignol skis and I feel iffy about them. They seem too large, would the atomic do better. Ik they are both different types of skis so my question tot eh world of skiers is which would just give me the overall good time? Im an intermediate skier just looking for a good time

Idk, I only buy skis because they look cool cuz I'm the best skier on the mountain, but you can buy whatever you want.

If I were you I would go to a (couple of) ski shop(s) and get yourself informed. They can ask you the right questions and talk to you about how you ski, where you ski, what you want during a skitrip and then inform you about your options. The choices you give us here are comparable to the difference of a sporty car or an suv. Yes, you can drive them both but the way you get to your destination is rather different.

Now I wonder if they've ever made skis with diffusers on them...

The Mavericks 84s are basic all mountian skis. The forza 20 degree is a basic frontside carving ski. Both are going to be a little bit better than a rental.

If you like variable conditions, some pow here and there, maybe the occasional side hit, go off into the trees a bit, go maverick. If you only want to carve groomers and work on improving edge angle, go forza 20 or the 50D for a bit more speed and stability.

Side note: The Forza geometry is based on the edge angle you have in the carve, instead of waist width. The higher the degree, the more power and technique you need to properly engage the ski through the turn. The 20 is built for beginner riders with lower edge angles. I demoed the 70D+ last year, and I quickly learned that I have no form or technique... thank God for releasable bindings.

Best of both worlds, though a bit more expensive: rossignol arcade. Highly recommend. You can mess around on them a bit, but also really engage with the turns. That ski made me feel like a better skier.

been looking at skis on evo for a summer, both of these are very much beginner skis. Also what is your definition of a “good time”? The Rossis are carving skis and I guess the Mavericks are more all-mountain, so by a good time do you mean park skiing, carving, powder, or backcountry?

Mostly just carving or powders, what skis have you seen that are pretty good on evo

for carving, the blizzard thunderbirds look pretty good, and for powder it depends on your budget

OP doesn't know what carving or powder actually are, what he actually wants is a 170cm full twin park ski. Everyone who ever walked into my shop sounding like OP had their mind absolutely blown by a medium flex full twin in the 95-100mm waist range that was about nose high on them.

What ski would you recommend on a budget

Literally any twin tip ski in the 95-100mm width range that is shorter than you are, like I said in the above comment.
