Pandemic episodes - what was the original movie reference

I just saw the 2 pandemic episodes again. The way Randy taped the whole thing on a personal video camera made me remember a movie with the same pov.

Its been YEARS since i've seen that film but I rember it's about this guy filming at a party when a monsters attacks New York (?)

I honestly might find it by myself, but wanted to share this movie with the community and might spark some good memories with you guys as well.

REC is a Spanish horror film while Outbreak is the American Remake of the Spanish film.
