I’m enjoying the new season but the first three episodes feel kinda repetitive. They’ve made the same basic joke 3 times. Which is generally fun but I’m not sure that it’s going to work long term.

So I have to wonder, is that the point they’re making? That constantly obsessing about the same thing is not going to work?

I know I'm overanalyzing a raunchy adult cartoon where aliens, giant monsters, and multiple religious figures exist, but in South Park, Stan is supposed to be 8-10 years old with a centenarian grandfather, while his father Randy looks to be in his early 40s at oldest. That doesn't seem right to me.

In south park the stick of truth Stan is in the team with Kyle and the Elves but I think he is clearly a human and should have been with Cartman.

Season 2 feels like a good improvement to Season 1. The writing is consistenly more solid, some characters get developments and we get some episodes I consider absolutely fantastic.

But, maybe due to the seasons lenght, the quality is imo all over the place and the lows are way, way lower than in Season 1imo. It feels like many episodes needed much more time in the oven, while others are brilliant from start to finish.

Though my biggest hot take is probably my rating of the Terrance and Phillip episode. And what can I say, that episode just tickles me. I love Terrence and Phillip, the dumb fart jokes and the way they always potrayed Saddam Hussein. And tbh I couldn't care less about the April Fools joke to drag out the Season 1 cliffhanger. Its funny.

So I was thinking about the show and it's longevity and how it's changed over the years and some tips or advice from us, the Viewers.

My idea is that the creators and writers have diverged too far from what makes ultra long series successful with the original, current, and future audiences. That is touching back on to the bigger events from the first 10 seasons. A specific example I want them to retouch on or at least have happen, is for Kyle to start signing the beginning melody of 'Come Sail Away, ' by Styx to Cartman so he can sing the entire song again. There could be so many opportunities that would be fucktastic. Any ideas or things you guys want, or think could help The show continue to run?

Me personally I'd say season 20 i don't hate it i find the season boring and the story of it very messy

It's been a while since I've watched South Park, and there's a bunch of new (to me) seasons and movies and I'm trying to figure out the best watching order of all the seasons and all the movies. I want to start it over completely.
