Green habanero? Wonder what it'd be like.. Unless those aren't ripe yet

You're correct! Unfortunately, they're not ripe yet 😞

I still eat some of mine when they’re green.

Yea. I can't wait either sometimes.

All of my Serranos I pick and eat while they are green. I haven't tried that with the habaneros though. I had a Serrano turn bright red (like a Cayenne pepper almost) so I picked it and tried it and it was very sweet.

Dang... I haven't grown peppers in so long.. And it's too late in the growing season to start here

They still look like they're on the plant, so I would guess they're not ripe yet.

I've taken pictures of my ripe jalapeños before harvest

Thank you! It's my first year gardening since I was a kid so I'm pretty stoked about how everything has turned out 😊

I have seven other habanero plants, one really large Cayenne, 4 shishitos and 8 to 12 Serrano plants as well.

I got 2 each on my plants. I need new dirt. The only thing that grows well in my garden is cayenne peppers for some reason.

I make my own compost and have a combination of potted garden plants as well as a fairly large garden in the ground. I've had pretty good luck with my soil/dirt so far!

Are your habanero plants smaller? My bell pepper plants fruited when they were only 6 to 8 in tall and would not grow or fruit new peppers until I pruned the original two off the plants.

That's about the height if my habaneros. My belly peppers are 16 inches tall and have no flowers or anything. My eggplants are 20 inches with no flowers. I have a nice tall roma tomato plant that I've gotten 3 tomatoes from.

Pepper plants love bone meal. Add some into your soil.

I used to grow peppers when i was younger. It was great because i was the only one that liked hot food!

That's the same way I am! My wife and kids don't like spicy stuff so I get all the peppers to myself!
