Basketball Several WNBA players were denied entry into a nightclub after the All-Star Game this weekend. “We in the W (WNBA), and just got done with the All-Star game; we shouldn’t even be waiting in no line.”

Right? My old pediatrician makes more money than them, has a longer Wikipedia article and more publications (she worked on some cutting edge research and treatments for sick kids), and is probably more well known and beloved in our city than any wmba players.

Just because you are around famous people doesn't make you famous.

I love the idea that you're just roaming the Internet looking for excuses to hype up your pediatrician

I can’t decide if by ‘my old pediatrician’ they mean for their kids or from when they were a kid

I was considering that, too, and I decided it's funniest if I imagine this person is like 50 years old and remembering his pediatrician from 40 years ago. The pediatrician is THAT much of a legend.

The pediatrician also probably impacted more lives too.

I carried my elderly neighbors groceries in yesterday and I believe I have impacted more lives than this woman flexing that she’s in the W and calling a club ghetto because she can only bring 7 ppl in with her, instead of 20

Like that seems like what this is really about. Rich people cut the lines in clubs because the club operators know them (or at least their people) and expect them to spend some large minimum and/or bring in a bunch of paying guests who will.

But to know this, you have to be rich (i guess).

Exactly what confuses me is this. You can literally walk up to a fucking security guard, hand them $500, and say “hey, get the manager out here.” Pay another $2000 and say “I want a table in the next 10 minutes,” and you’ll be taken care of. Unless you’re in fucking Vegas, Miami, LA. And even in those cities? You just double or triple it. Other than that, there’s never a problem.

What’s insane to me is how some of y’all are trying to present yourselves like pro NBA players, but you’re bowling on a dollar budget. This is so fucking stupid. You’re not celebrities if you’ve got no money. That’s the whole fucking point. People know you’re not somebody if you can’t throw down five, ten, twenty grand at the club. Especially after something like the All Star Game. From the W? What the hell is that?

It’s pathetic. Like they’re trying, but failing so hard. I don’t even know how to explain it. Shit is embarrassing.

They were probably trying to sneak booze into the club.

Yeah why let someone who makes around $100k or less cut in line. Plus with the expenses they probably don’t take home more than the other people in line.

For real money makes the world go around. Clubs dgaf who you are but you pull out some money and throwing it around I bet you this wouldn’t have even been an issue. They wanna step outside and flaunt without having to bust it out and flaunt 🤣🤣🤣🤣
