Leafs win the Stanley Cup next

I would say Buffalo first, but the Leafs have gone longer without winning it than the Sabres

As a Canadian... FUCK NO

1

u/buster_rhino 7h ago

lol who do you think Leafs fans are?

Least stick smacks to the ball to go into the cup wins

10

u/Viperion_NZ 6h ago

Golf; the game so bad that the aim is to be so good you play as little of it as possible

tbf that's true of basically any sport that's not on a timer

2

u/mordor-during-xmas 8h ago

Was that Rosie with his phone out like any other punter? Class act for his Ryder Cup teammate.

Love it!!! What a moment

Very happy for that guy! Class act. I’ve watched him come up short so many times and he’s always positive, always graceful. These are the guys you want to cheer for.

19

u/JustANormalGuy46 11h ago

So happy for him. Great golfer! Class act!

16

Couldn't happen to a better bloke

7

u/Ricemobile 10h ago

Love how all the other golfers are always so happy for the winner. They know the blood, sweat, and tears they had to shed to hold that trophy. Great job Tommy!

So happy for Tommy. Close call after close call, heartbreak all season to culminate into the ultimate victory. Couldn't of written it any better.

11

u/blie716 11h ago

Guy can’t even win a full field event

12

u/blie716 11h ago

Obviously joking (mostly). Was cheering for him the whole time

I think the top 30 in the world is just as challenging, if not more, than any regular week on the tour.

1

u/B-rocula 3h ago

Top 30 on the pga tour *

5

u/YautjaProtect 11h ago

Lots of people win their first PGA tour title, he’s the second ever to have it be his first win at all on the tour

6

u/Hwinter07 Butler 6h ago

It's not though

2

u/jordan1978 10h ago

I’ve missed so many of those gimmees.

Just watched him on YouTube fitting Rory some Days ago. Cool dude.

1

u/zithftw 8h ago

Can’t imagine the pressure he was under. First win in sight at the Tour Championship with a $10m purse and he pulled it out. So happy for him!

1

u/bwrobel12 8h ago

Dude has been a top golfer for a long time. Has many second place finishes in major tournaments but always comes up short and has never won. Plagued by poor performance in the final rounds, giving up large leads several times.

Today he won his first ever on tour and it also is the tour title.

9

u/plessis204 9h ago

Never won the in the states. He was 7 euro tour wins.

4

u/Shepherdsfavestore 5h ago

That part of the drama though. Won everywhere but the PGA, which is the best tour in the world. Expectations were high for awhile and could never do it.

Glad to see him finally pull it off

5

u/-UserOfNames 9h ago

And has one of the best nicknames in sports…Fairway Jesus

7

u/JGCities 7h ago

He has been a pro for 15 years and never won on the PGA tour till today.

He is 163 and 1 on the PGA tour. I think he was the person with the most starts without a win prior till today.

1

u/Electronic_Grade508 11h ago

Did he make good $$$? Not sure if he is happy or relieved. Probably a huge weight off his shoulders. Very enjoyable seeing the relief and happiness

19

u/bostongreens 10h ago

I think it was 10million

-13

u/spikeroo59 9h ago

5M

12

u/Agile-Carob6728 9h ago

It was certainly 10 mil

1

u/XRPX008 10h ago

Been a long time coming. Guys been on the verge for years, and couldn’t get over the hump! Happy to see it. Wonder if he takes off now he got the first one.

0

u/Edmatador82 7h ago

Big Cat has to be thrilled

-2

u/sanctaphrax 6h ago

Imagine if he missed that putt.

5

u/debaserr 5h ago

He won by three strokes it wouldn't have mattered.

1

u/blueboatjc 4h ago

I'm imagining... he won. Whoops, he missed again. He still won.

-5

u/marto7u 6h ago

Borrrring!!!!
