Is there no minimum age for participants in table tennis? I know it's 16 for gymnastics and other sports have minimum age requirements. Weird they would allow a child to participate like this

According to the OIC rules there's no age requirement to compete in the Olympics, however, each sport can decide whether they want to enforce minimums or maximums (like gymnastics, soccer, etc.). There were a bunch of 15 year olds that were competing in the winter Olympics and some of them actually ended up winning. It looks like the organizing body for table tennis didn't request any restrictions.
