Say no more. I have a few playlists themed around this. None are much like Halestorm or Poppy, but you might dig 'em all the same.

Avril Invented Punk
Originally created to poke fun at the gate-keeping punk community, I actually genuinely enjoy this collection of poppy aughts "punk" themed around Avril Lavigne.

Cruella's Burn Book
Scathing riffs and vindictive punk for vengeful vixens by women who rock (late '70s or early '80s).

The Rick Mitchell Special: A Mitchells vs. the Machines Playlist
If you've seen the movie, this is a playlist designed to feel like a cross-country road trip mix made by Katie Mitchell. Not the soundtrack, but rather a playlist built around the movie's inclusion of Bangs' "I Want More." (Almost) all female artists (there might be one or two tracks with male vocals).

Asian American Women of Indie Rock
As described, great bands fronted by talented AAPI women (mostly in the "indie" vein). Unfortunately (but understandably), missing Deerhoof.

The '90s Were Female vol. 2
A collection of alternative rock from women in the 1990s (the first volume that I made was more alternative/pop).

Alternative Queens
While this is in more of the "trip-hop" vein, here is a playlist of PJ Harvey, Bjork, Tori Amos, and similar artists of that era.

I would also recommend Snõõper, a weirdo female-fronted "Egg Punk" band from Nashville.
