SPQR or Senātus Populusque Rōmānus is a long establish nation in the civ genre, now established in the CivMC Server, and based on the ancient Roman "Res Publica". Our intent is to create a vibrant and growing community of friendly builders, traders and role-players, don't hesitate to come by and ask for a tour of the city or apply to join!
CivMC
CivMC is a long-term civilization simulation server. The server (and map) are over 3 years old now, and the map has never reset! At the moment we have 70-100+ players at peak times each day. The server is sometimes referred to as “semi-anarchy” because although the admins will take action against harassment, hacking and cheating there is very little else that will get them involved. Griefing and raiding are therefore allowed, but don’t let that trick you! Player enforced justice is very much possible on CivMC. So don’t think a powerful nation is just going to let you get away with raiding or griefing them, you might just find yourself receiving a taste of hell.
With this concept of player enforced justice CivMC takes the world of “towny” and “factions” to greater heights, with more freedom and flexibility for the players without devolving into a completely lawless land like 2b2t. With nations and organizations arising across the server!
🏛️ Government of SPQR 🏛️
The Government is headed by the Princeps , the reigning authority to direct the Assembly and represent the Roman People. All Roman citizens participate directly in the Assembly to propose and debate motions and vote them into law. The Senate is the highest ranking Assembly and works as an advisory council to the Princeps, debating foreign policy, military policy, and direct domestic policy.
Regular elections are also held for several public offices of which among them are the Tribune of the Plebs, Aedile, Praetor, etc.
⚒️ Guilds ⚒️
Guilds are internal subdivisions of labor managed by a Quaestor, the Quaestor 's are heads of each Guild tasked with delegating and ensuring completion of work, four exist. Right now there are four guilds: Builders, Farmers, Miners and Brewers.
Cities
SPQR is home to a unique and diverse populace, many of the populace live in cities! S.P.Q.R. has three cities,
Rome This is the Capital of SPQR home to the majority of the populace, the Senate and the Princeps, located at 3000, -5500
City of England Capital of the Province of Britannia, located at 3800 ,-6000
Lugdunum Capital of the Province of Gallia, and producer of all the taiga products in S·P·Q·R. Located at 2700. -6600

This is not a map, SPQR is one of the many nations in an ongoing Minecraft server, all you see was built in survival

Just started a new survival world with friends and made a temple and triumph. Going to do some actual buildings next.

Not hating I just really don't see it...you build stuff in a poor graphic, you don't really have an objective, you don't really fight...what's the point? Just wasting time? I can watch a movie or even reddit and youtube for that and I'll have more fun for sure

Excusing your misinterpretation of Minecraft and its core gameplay, you never just do things for no other reason but bc you just want to? Like everything has to be productive for you? You mention Lego as also being worthless… building and having a physical model for you to enjoy and remember the fun you had building isn’t enough of a reason?
Not saying you HAVE to enjoy Minecraft or Lego - hell, one of my longest and best friends doesn’t enjoy Minecraft bc he enjoys more structured games vs sandboxes but he still can understand why 300 million people enjoy the game - but it’s really this hard for you to admit that others could find this game fun?
